The end of Halo Wars 2 is Anders on Installation 09 (replacement for Installation 04) heading to the Soell system to get a signal out to the UNSC. However the ring then drops out of slipspace and a Guardian shows up. Now, it seems that Halo Infinite will be taking place on Installation 07. What role do you think Anders and Installation 09 will play into the story?
I’d say none but I don’t really know, maybe I’m missing some connection.
Hard to say. I’ve seen a lot of claims that 343 said Halo Wars 2 will play a big role in Infinite, I don’t have a source though. But I’m convinced that’ll have something to do with the Banished and bringing back a covenant type enemy as the main enemy AI.
I think they will connect wars 2 to infinite
I think Installation 04C will end up being a big roll in Infinite but I think the UNSC might be hiding or using other Halos to gain equal ground for the fight with Cortana which could explain why they’re on Installation 07.
Could be that 09 was the Ring we saw at the end of Guadians. Could be that we have to wait another six years until we see a connection.
Either way, I’m starting to feel that having cliff hangers and no real finality in a Halo game is getting played out.
Look, I’ve been playing since CE. I’m in my 30’s now. I’ve read almost every book, bits of random media, taken parts in ARG’s and have been active on these forums and Bungie’s forums for years now. (All hail the floof!) Every damn time I finish a game, I feel as if I have to wait for the next one to come out to get some closure.
Give the long time fans of the game and media a bone. Hit us with the tie-ins we need, man.
Also, wait what? I forgot the point of this thread. Yeah… Maybe we get a distress call and she ends up kicking -Yoink- on the Ring.
I personally don’t see Anders playing a role in Halo Infinite. However, I’d like to see a reunion between her and Dr. Halsey. That could make for some interesting character development for both of them. Their working relationship was described as “tense” neither held the other in high regard.
as for Installation 08 playing a role, maybe. Anders is smart, she could send out a distress call. But Cortana could use the distress call to lure Infinity out of hiding. A distress call from a presumed long-dead member of The Spirit of Fire would be suspect though.
I don’t see her playing a big role because Infinite is going to focus on Chief and pretty much just Chief.
according to 343 themselves hw2 will have a big impact
I think we’ll attempt to rescue Anders from Installation 09 and seize it from Created control. From there, the Spirit of Fire could to join up with the Infinity once we send out a beacon.
