Hello everybody, I have asked about it months ago and there’s still no PC requirements to play the game at launch. So I’m almost taking my final decision to get a GTX 1650 super, because most of high end gpus are not avaible or too expensive, and console scalpers don’t let commom people buy it at MSRP price when it avaible on stock.
Anyways, I’m still need a good GPU to make video editings and make some professional live streaming. People maybe wonder why I have spended too much on PC rather saving money to invest on a Xbox Series S/X. Well, in my country it was too expensive in that time, and last year, PC specs had really good prices for consumer value, despite some don’t have ray tracing feature. Sadly, I couldn’t finish build my pc before the crypto boom. Now, some with those GPUs prices you can literaly buy a good notebook gamer or actualy buy 1 Series X + 1 Controller +1 expensive 1TB SSD GPU for the console (if you get luck)
Now I’m taking a serious risk to buy a weak GPU and can’t run well the game at launch. Actually, I have already abdicated my hope in getting a GPU with raytracing, but even the basic is hard to get right now. And it discourages me a lot more to see that the game is running on an RX6800XT (Inside Infinite April update), because it looks like the game is going to demand a lot of the PC hardware performance.
Anyways, I still have a little time to make the final decision, and this is a rare chance to finish my PC build. Pc players know that things will not normalize until the end of 2022 due to this shortage of chips. So yeah, It’s a hard situation.
Hopefully there will be a huge info dump at E3… and it’s less than 6 weeks away.

There’s no official PC specs because the game is still being worked and needs optimized. Pre-optimizations, even a high-end PC will have performance and graphical issues. Once E3 comes around I’m sure the steam page will be updated with some additional info on the recommended spec.
Keep in mind 343 is committed to supporting this game on last gen Xbox One, S, and X; and that the game will be supported for a long time. Pretty much everyone is in the market for new video cards and consoles, the best we can do is be patient and wait for supply at MSRP, or give-in to scalpers and buy off reselling sites.

Did not realize it was that close, holy crap.
Looks like we’ll be getting a lot more info soon
I think the lack of PC specs at this current time isn’t too alarming, since the game is still several months away and developers usually don’t release final PC specs until maybe a month before release. That being said, I’m sure 343 will show PC specs soon, especially if they are going to have public test flights on both console and PC.
In terms of them showing the game running on a 6800 XT, I’m not surprised that they showed the game running on a pretty powerful PC. It gives us the best look at the game and shows the game off in its best state. I wouldn’t worry too much about performance on a 1650 Super, as Infinite is being made for the original Xbox One which is less powerful than a 1650. Console optimization aside, The 1650 Super should be able to handle Infinite at a decent frame rate, although many of your graphics setting will probably be around the low-medium side of things, especially if you want to push over 60 fps. I think if you invest in other parts of your PC now like your CPU and good storage and RAM, you should be good to go. A graphics card can be easily upgraded later on if you need to, not withstanding those darn scalpers who ruin literally everything.
Well PC player here… I have gtx 1650, i5 10th gen with 16gb ddr4 dual channel laptop… Let me tell you it’s pretty good. It can handle RDR 2 even at ultra settings with 1-2 frame drops in between… But I keep at like medium - high settings because of overheating issues. Otherwise it can handle high graphics games pretty well. Haven’t tried cyberpunk because of it’s terrible state. And other games like FAr Cry 5 even work at ultra settings smoothly but without heating issues.
So I DON’T HAVE TENSION IN INFINITE UNABLE TO RUN. The only basic thing I can expect is at least low-medium settings in it and still run at 60 fps. Oh and also there will be public beta testing for it so you can check if your pc can work with it. To get into beta testing go to Halo Insiders when it will be available, just try it.

The main problem today is the lacking of supply in the gpu in the market. Because of the high demand, it’s hard today to get even the basic gpu to run games. So get early before the situation gets worse it’s vital. There’s no signal when the GPU supply will get normal. We are almost in the situation it’s now or wait for the next 2 years to get back to normality. Even TSMC said this shortage will last until 2022
And my PC is a Ryzen 5 3500X, Glow 16GB of Ram, 256GB of SSD and 1TB HD, and I had additional 1TB external HD from my solded Xbox One Fat. So yeah, the only thing remaining is GPU and maybe a new SSD storage (probably will be NVME) depending on the prices.
But my fear that maybe could probably run similar or even worst than the optimized Xbox One version. Like I said, my first intention was to buy a Series X, but in that time
I really needed to buy a PC for work. So it’s a hard situation.
But if you says that a GTX 1650 is more powerful, so I can feel less frustrated to take this decision.

And that’s I’m scaried. Loosing some essencial graphic elements because can’t just run smoothly on my GPU. I’m not like a enthusiast for graphics, but at least to run some good graphics enhancement.
I don’t have spended for a 1440p monitor and high IPS to play on low graphics.
If I had a chance to go back in the past and makes things different.

Don’t blink… time flies
I don’t think we will get specs until the game goes gold IMO. Maybe they can ball park the specs, but nothing official until the build is locked.

That is a pretty nice PC you got there. I definitely don’t know when or if the gpu market will stabilize, but it doesn’t look like these shortages will let up until at least the end of the year for sure. The GTX 1650 definitely has more computing power than the xbox one, but my conservative guess is that the 1650 will perform about on par or slightly above the Xbox One version of the game. However you will be able to squeeze out better performance just due to the flexibility of being able to choose your own graphical settings compared to the xbox one version, which is fixed.
Doubt we’ll hear anything till around E3 time since they’ll probably be still trying to figure out what the minimum requirements are so that they can make sure that it gets proper testing.
I dont think it would be too crazy, they are pretty good at optimizing, I mean halo 5 was one of the few games on the xbox one that actually ran at 60 fps, but I guess they are working with a mostly new engine now. They do keep emphasizing that it will be playable on lower end PCs, whenever they talk about fair play

I cried reading this.
I’d recommend you to save up some more for rtx series, just to play it safe. Although I think 1650 super is way more than enough for a fine 1080p 45-60 fps for infinite and many other new gen games. I mean with the release of cheaper nvidia 30 series, you can find the old 20 series quite cheap.

I’m not sure where you are but the 20 series cards are anything but cheap in the UK.
Ray tracing is under-rated and will make a massive difference imo, well worth waiting for a card with that supported.

The Series X is supposed to be comparable to a 2080 TI which will give you a good reference point for comparing a GPU to.
I bought a GTX 1650 Super last year end, because prices goes up and stock goes low. I would oick up a 1660, but it waaay expensive. The card is really good, certain games now run at ultra (SW BF II, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Resident Evil 3 demo, Rage 2. Of course with an old 4460 some games not so good, no HT and old architecture bottleneck my GPU.
I really hope Halo: Infinite will be a well optimized games. Though I plan to upgrade to a 10100 (or 10400), but I waiting to the PC specs. Because not much other games I interested in the future. At least MP will be free, so I can check how it run on my PC. I also had hopes for a Flight.

So I’m almost taking my decision. Now I’m watching some used RX580 to play it on
And no, RTX 2060 it’s very expensive today in my country.
As others are saying, I think this info will be at least strongly hinted at during the summer trade shows.
I wouldn’t be too concerned about specs if you’re not planning on maxing out all of the graphical settings, though. If you’ve got a contemporary GPU from the past few years and a half decent processor (i5 or Ryzen 5 from the past few years), your rig shouldn’t have any issues providing a solid framerate with a fair/good graphical experience.
This game is launching on XBOne as well as PC and Series X, after all, and the vanilla, “VHS” XBOne from 2013 is a total dinosaur technically. I’d expect most PC rigs configured for even budget gaming in the past half decade will positively run circles around that console.
It’s a different conversation altogether if you want to crank the graphic settings to ultra across the board, though. New PC games are designed to take full advantage of the hardware on the market on the high end. Ultra settings and features like Raytracing probably won’t be designed with less-than-current GPU’s in mind.

Maybe a GPU compared to a Series S. I don’t necessary need a true high end Console to play the game you know. That’s why I’m searching form a intermediary card with or without raytracing, but sadly, I can’t found it anywhere with a resoanable price.
That’s why I make jokes with some people complaining don’t have a great GPU when they have a GTX 1070, GTX1660, GTX 1060 4GB~6GB, when I just only have a GT710 1GB GPU that barely can’t play actual games.
My struggle with GTX1650 super it’s because I would probably “repurchase” Xbox One Fat again.
(Well, at least I would have the advantage to do video editing and streamming easily, by the way)
