So I’ve finally maxed out ever weapon commendation…except for one. And that one is the Plasma Caster. I don’t know what it is about that weapon, but I just do not like it. I have tried all of the different variations over and over again, but I still hate that gun. I still have to get 55 kills with it and I can’t wait to get it maxed out so I never have to use it again. I look forward to the day when I can finally use whatever weapon I desire. Have any of you maxed out your weapons commendations completely? If so, what was the last one you completed? If not, which weapon do you think will be the last one you will complete?
EDIT: I really appreciate that people are trying to give me ideas of how to use the Plasma Caster effectively, but that’s not what I intended this post to be about, I’ll eventually max out the weapon regardless of how bad I am with it. I would appreciate it if we could please stick to what I had originally asked. Thank you.
Its usually a trap or a siege weapon. Better to aim it at groups of people and not a single target. If you know or get an idea that enemies are about to rush a base, use it as a trap and watch your motion sensor.

Yeah, that never works well for me. If I lay a trap, the enemy is usually unaffected by it and they kill me instead lol. I have had much more success firing multiple shots at enemies.
I used to hate the plasma caster, but now I love it.
Are you aiming directly at your enemies or bouncing the shots off the floors?

I’ve tried just about everything. Firing the shots at the enemy, firing the shots off the floor, leaving traps, etc. That weapon just doesn’t work well for me. I would much rather have a Whiplash over that gun.

White Scar is better at laying it down as a trap since its proximity. However with the regular one or the Scourge of Fire is little difficult. I mostly try to aim and predict their movement and shoot in their line of path.
Shooting at warthogs is another options or at the entrances where the enemies come out of. Try Warzone Assault! Should work well when their focus is attacking or defending the objective.

Yeah, like I said, even with the White Scar, it doesn’t work that well for me. But thanks for the advice anyways.

Using it on vehicles is about the only other way I’ve been able to get kills with it. And I usually don’t play Warzone Assault with my group, but if we do, I’ll give it a shot.
Tight corridors are your friend, spam a few shots down a hallway and try to memorize the distance the average shot travels before detonating. I found that The Rig is a good map for picking up a couple of kills with it.
Congratulations on the commendations though.
Warzone Assault… spam the crap out of the armory and the core room once you get to that point… guaranteed kills

The only 2 I have left are the SPNKR and the Spartan laser. SPNKR will probably be my last because I’m not really focusing on it right now, Spartan Laser is a pain for me.

Yeah, I just maxed out the Spartan Laser tonight and I am so grateful that I did. Now, the only Spartan Laser I plan to collect is the Endgame.
