and the Flood should attack..........NOW!!!

EP 9 HUNT THE TRUTH SPOILERS

seriously after that last ep, colonies communication is cut off, a civil war brewing, what makes it worst? The Flood of course. At the end of Halo 5 maybe? Humanity might be at its weakest due to our own faults, what better way to test our worthyness for the mantle then now? Send the purest flood forms.

That won’t be a test! That’s a one-sided slaughter!

I’ll take the odds

Can we put aside our diffrence to save the human race??

A disgruntled bunch of colonists may attack a Halo with the intent of releasing the Flood

It seems like 343i is determined to move forward and make Halo their own with their new direction so bringing back the Flood would be a unlikely u-turn.

The Flood could be a possibility, but Jul 'Mdama and his faction seems more likely.

We know the flood has to come back to test humanity

It is the Reclaimer saga humanity needs to reclaim the mantle. And in order to that that they must be tested by the flood so they will show up eventually.

No the Flood have been set up for the past half decade to be gearing up for a dramatic return; everything that has happened is leading into that return, so they can test our worthiness of the Mantle.

I really don’t think Humanity is at their weakest at this point. They were probably at their weakest in Halo CE but they’ve managed to rebound and beat the flood and the covenant.

Now they have the UNSC Infinity plus a lot of other ships, hundreds of Spartan IVs, knowledge of the flood and how to beat it back (so there will be no surprises) and Covenant allies (that can glass planets).

The Flood could return but they won’t be a big threat.

When the flood return they will be a big threat. Silentium flood even just no precursor stuff unless they bring it. The only way I see the flood being stopped is a galactic alliance I see bornsteller and rhe remaining forerunners coming back in h5 and there are also composers and who has control over composers and promethians Jul I see Jul and Thel coming to terms to stop the flood they compose and army of the covenant forces and make them promethian put them into new arch types so we have promethian hunters and elites and such so we will have all of the covenant species either composed or normal the remaining forerunners and humanity I think this will be interesting

Ummm no. If you read the forerunner saga it’s highly foreshadowed.

It’s also been foreshadowed further in esculation and now possibly HTT but I think that may just be civil war but you never know.

Alright, so the Flood is definitely coming back. That’s clear. But I really, really, doubt they’re here to test anybody. When we fought the Flood before, the Gravemind never spoke of a test. The whole “test” thing was planned out by the Primordial, but guess what, he’s not around anymore. The Primordial has been dead for ages. The Flood just wants to consume all life, there is no higher purpose. And, personally, I think it’s cooler that way

The Gravemind didn’t mention the test because humanity wasn’t ready to be tested. And yes it was part of the plan and the flood will test us if a Graveminds body dies it’s mind and thoughts and memories are still preserved in slip space and if another Gravemind is constructed these thoughts will be transfered to it so the plan is still in act because the primordial let it’s self be infected and was the first grave mind think keys in halo 1 it was similar to that except the core was the primordial this is how it changed its appearance so much from cryptum to primodrium. So the flood will test us and the Primordial is still with us the Gravemind even says some primordial ish sayings relating to the Primordials imprisonment. Another reason he didn’t mention the test is why give the humans time to prepare.

At the end of the forerunner saga though bornsteller dies. Maybe the twist is humanity Is at their highest point in evolution (now that I think of it you are right, the infinity, spartan 4’s, etc) and strongest they have ever been. But humanity’s hatred for eachother will be the test. Can humanity come together against a common threat? Or will we be selfish and let the flood consume us? If that’s the case the flood will unify us as intended. Big questions coming.

They’re already consuming one of the Outer Colonies while chaos about the Master Chief is going wild.

Why do you think that Benjamin coughs sometimes?

The Flood spores are consuming him.

I’ll give you Microsoft points if u can tell me how many times each ep hahahh such a crazy idea it might be true…

That is interesting I never thought of that it could be a slower infection.

Remember how the Didact was exiled after defeating the Humans, and returned just in time for all hell to break loose due to the Flood? While the situations are a little different, it seems like present day Halo is playing out just like the Forerunner saga. After being weakened from brutal wars, political turmoil ends up causing you to lose your greatest warrior. In the Forerunner saga this happened with the Didact being exiled as the Flood began to gain strength in the outer reaches of the galaxy.

With these anomalies are occurring in deep space the Chief is MIA and being labeled a traitor. Humanity is deeply divided politically and weakened from the war with the Covenant (just like the Forerunners post Human-Forerunner war). It’s the perfect time for Humanity’s test, as was foreshadowed by the Primordial.
