...and the fandom repeats itself.

You all realize that on Bungie.net when Armor Abilities and Loadouts were announced that everyone claimed that Halo was trying to be more like CoD, right? You guys are saying literally the exact same things about Halo 4 that people did about Halo: Reach. Tell me, do you see Call of Duty when you look at Reach? Nope. You see a Halo game. The exact same thing is gonna happen with Halo 4 as it did with every other Halo game; the forums are going to go berserk and make vague predictions based on little to no evidence until Bungie, or in this case, 343i, tells us otherwise and shuts us up. This even happened with Halo 3 and ODST. But, regardless of the threads similar to this one, this will still happen, because there have always been threads like this one which ultimately changed nothing. Hopefully, though, a few select people will read this and at least be comforted by the fact that things aren’t as they appear, that everyone will eventually calm down and Halo 4 won’t be as terrible as everyone feared it might be. Thanks for reading, at least.

Which is why reach is the most unplayable halo Ive played in ten years…

(not trying to sound like a jerk but i really preferred the other halos)

I dont care if its like cod, i just dont want it to suck.

And yes, progression systems and un-equal starts blow.

Reach was still bad…

People are afraid Halo 4 will be bad as well. Hopefully it wont be.

We need more evidence for one. But, if Halo 4 ends up being a bust, I literally will go and just become a constant CoD player because Halo 4 is pretty much the last chance for the trilogy to take Xbox Live by storm again.

Reach is definitely my least enjoyed and least played Halo. People don’t want change because they don’t want what happened in Reach to happen again.

I like my Halo games, they’re what keeps me gaming on consoles, changing that fun I have merely moves me away from the franchise.

Here’s the thing though; all we know about multiplayer is as follows:

  • The BR is back.
  • We will be playing as SPARTAN IV’s.
  • The name of two maps.
  • You can sprint.
  • There are grenades.
  • Scoring goes up by 10’s instead of 1’s.

Aside from this, we know nothing. I don’t care what who said or what was implied, until there is actual gameplay of it nothing can be taken as proof. Even if there is visual proof to support your theory, even then, it could be taken out of the game prior to launch. The fact that everyone is freaking out this bad about a video game is both hilarious and frightening.

hahaha no not really…I see Halo 1/2/3 =Halo …Reach=Reach
i mean come on, compared to the other games it is almost completely different. Bloom, AA, Arena, load outs.

Oh btw I agree with your post…just that one line that made me cringe a bit inside…

Couldn’t agree more.

This is utterly ridiculous rampant raging with virtually nothing to back it up except people who’re afraid that their own biases, mainly in the Multi-Player area, are being ignored and thus naturally scream about it.

Having come to the series late (got my Xbox in Sept of last year and now own 3, 3:ODST, Reach and CEA) I simply cannot understand what the big sodding deal is. They’re all great games and I’m sorry but very little in the way of mechanics has actually changed between them.
