Oh how I wish there was a br start arena playlist
You could show those people with suppressor and plasma pistol starts, and they would still be impressive. Pistol takes more hits to kill. That translates into less autospawndeaths. I’m okay with that.
My point being if higher caliber players aren’t complaining about it and are obviously using it in game battles what could ONE playlist hurt?

BTB is technically Arena and has BR starts…

Fair enough! I think they started off without it so people would pick up power weapons more. Now, they could add one or rotate it in in team arena.

This makes sense and I’d be down for them adding into team arena slayer only.

Yeah I know, but I don’t really agree with that. Maybe this works out great for tournaments, but when we had BR starts in the beta Halo 5 got alot less fun. In the first week (AR pistol starts) people were actively moving around the map en going head to head, then in the second week with BR starts everything slowed down and got quiet. No one headed out of cover anymore because you’d get 4-shotted across the map by the entire enemy team that was hiding in their little hole.
It wasn’t fun at all.
Unease I get what you are saying, I just enjoy br starts on anything and am tired of the pocket dmr
Nahhh man, AR magnum start means all mid range spawns becomes part of map control. What would be the point in picking up the Carbine, DMR or Lightrifle if you started with a BR? It was needed in Halo 2 and 3 the Magnum had no accuracy, but the H5 magnum is good enough to use until you find a BR.
No BR starts is probably another sign 343’s appeal to the wider audience. Players that are good with BR’s poop all over newer players and this would only get worse and more off putting to the newer players, which is exactly what 343 doesn’t want to happen.

I guess if you only like using 1 weapon you should have a list to play in.

All I want is one playlist social or not makes no difference. This way people who like br starts can play it and if you don’t like it don’t play it

Had a buddy over Saturday who had never played H5. I let him try it, his first thing he said was “Where’s my BR?!”. He proceeded to get dumped on 3-4 games in a row and told me to put Destiny in. It’s not fun for people. Missing tons of shots with a dinky pistol is not fun.
People have preferred BR starts for 12+ years. It absolutely should be an option.

Those settings were terrible. Combine that with the lack of true “social”, it was a sweat fest and completely unenjoyable for me. If there was a 4v4 H2 BR start playlist with normal settings I would’ve played all weekend.
You have BTB for BR starts, you can play on normal maps in customs.
