So it’s currently the 19th and WayPoint goes into read only tomorrow.
There’s a whole lot I’d like to say about the current state of Halo and the removal of Halo Waypoint, however this message isn’t for 343i. It’s for everyone in this community
I wanted to thank all of you.
Whilst some of the takes here can be… questionable at best, seeing the community engage on these forums over the years has been great. I’ve heard some of the most hilarious takes, and I’ve also heard some of the most ingenious ideas brought forwards.
Regardless of where everyone ends up, I wish everyone the best.

Great, now all I can think if Perfect Cell’s “My Way” while the waypoint forums are being obliterated. It’s both hilarious and depressing.

Been doing my best to archive things, wrote a tool to grab virtually everything - so while this may be the end of the Waypoint forums, it won’t be the end for the majority of its content. If anyone who happens to read this is interested, look up haloman30 and/or DiscourseDownloader on Github. I do intend to put this online and on archive.org once everything is finalized.
…but since that doesn’t quite fit the mood, until then… see you folks on the other side o7

Halo under 343s control has been a disaster, they will be fired and replaced for the next installment. Everything they touched failed and they lost Microsoft a ton of money. They will not be missed by anyone and the hate will continue until they are fired. I would wish you luck but you wouldn’t know what to do with it.
