I was reading a sample of Halo: Cryptum from my iPod when I stumble with the word “ancilla”.
The sample of the book says that the ancillas held records of most, if not all of the Forerunners knowledge. And the first thing that came to my mind was Cortana and other AI’s.
Does this mean that ancillas are actually AI’s?

The medident bias was the ancilla that was supreme, however the Gravemind made it go rampant, sort of what it tried to do to Cortana.

He wasn’t necessarily “supreme” or superior to others, simply one of an exclusive class of highly advanced Ancillas known as “Metarchs.”
