Near the bottom of the latest community update, the team starts to talk about upcoming features in Forge. They showcased a new customizable Phantom prop, more classic-styled Covenant pieces, as well as saying that they would be adding material/texture options for all of the Covenant props. After that, however, they showed something that had me very excited:
Ancient Sangheili props!
The picture shows a few walls, a doorway, a Sangheili statue, and one of the tents the Swords of Sangheilios use in the campaign (as well as accents for the tent).

I’ve been hoping and patiently waiting for something like this for months, particularly for those statues which will help me put the finishing touches on my Sangheili BTB map “Swords of the Heretic”. Couldn’t be more excited for this forge pallet to drop!! I’m really hoping for a shot to eventually get it in MM after some further tests.HYPE TRAIN WORT WORT! !!

I’ll let you know and I would be happy to personally show you the map.Besides the Sangheili architecture the map has some Covenant occupation scattered around and it has a ton of sick warthog jumps to go crazy with, even do flips and stuff on.It’s kinda like all the old architecture has turned into a sort of ancient “Sangheili skate park” for the Warthog lol!

Yes, I actually can stand In a Phantom for once!
This does give very interesting hints for what the next update could be.
Im really digging the statue that will look great on 90% of maps

It’ll probably be mostly Covenant/Sangheili themed. Hopefully that means we get some of the old Covenant weapons and vehicles like the Concussion Rifle or the Revenant.
Apparently there aren’t many that care. I made a thread about it too and didn’t get any replies really. But either way, I am ecstatic about it!
This means that the great Forgers out there can recreate some iconic Covenant maps in their best glory! I personally loved Penance. I know it’s a remake from CE’s one, but I like Reach’s version better. And besides awesome Covenant and Sangheili maps, we could also get Infection looking Covenant/Sangehlli maps! I am sure some Forgers can pull that off!

more maps for Infection would be very much appreciated! I don’t play much of it myself, but many of my friends do and they say it gets a little old with only seven or so maps in the playlist.

Now all they need to do is add in playable Sangheili and then i’ll have my motivation to build my ancient Sangheili temple. It’ll be perfect. Especially with the tents for the entrance as the spawn is outside of the temple.

So so true! Don’t get me wrong. I love the current maps in Infection. They’re quite nice, and I don’t really have any hate towards any of the maps. But, I certainly wouldn’t mind some extra Infection Forge maps. There are great maps out there, and I don’t think it’s a difficult task for 343 to add these maps in rotation.

Let’s not get our hopes up too fast. As much as I would love a new Forge map in the style of Covenant/Sanghellios style, this might just be a terrain Forge piece oddly placed down.
Just like that Sandtrap remake that looks like sand. But we all know there ain’t no sand canvases.
