Both! I see this new trilogy ending up like the original did. With the Covenant being our main enemy until they work together to take on the flood. So I see the Forerunners being our main enemy, until they team up to take on the Precursors!

i think it’s most likely not referring to the forerunners or the precursors, though im pretty sure that the forerunners will be in the game
