Ancient evil CEA SPOILERS

All the vids of the terminals are on this guys channel

Remember that a 343 employee (not sure if Frankie or…)said the terminals in HCEA vvill be connected to the Halo 4 story?
And that it vvil reveal some stuff on the AE?
I just vvatched every terminal and only found record of the flood being named as Ancient enemy (closest it got), there is a strange spaceship in the terminals but no life signs vvere detected nor any vvay that it seemed to carry a hostile alien.

Man, I really hope not… if the Flood is the main enemy… I can’t think of any single more disappointing thing to hear about Halo 4.

AL is back, and novv it lasts 6 minutes instead of seconds, oh and its Vanilla Reach AL.

Near the end of all the vids a flash of the ancient enemy is shown…

Same. If the Ancient Enemy is the Flood im’ma be p***ed.

I don’t even want to read it… Unless it’s just a fake. Is it guys? Or is it a real spoiler? If it’s fake I’m gonna read it to lol at him posting fake info, but I don’t want spoilarz.

I wont buy Halo 4 if there even is a single entire flood mission, let alone nothing but flood. I just wont.

Flood as the main enemy will mean an end to this series.

The flood are interesting storyvvise, but gameplay vvise they are annoying -Yoink- hell especially in Halo 1 (except for the puppy glitch XD).

Wait, the Ancient Evil crashed on Instillation 04? 0_0

They could be an interesting plot device, if kept in the background. But I agree that they threaten to kill Halo 4 outright if they’re a major antagonist. The Flood are stale now, we’ve been there and done that too many damn times. If 343 even thinks about making them the ancient enemy, good-bye Halo, nice knowing you.

Might explain Reach, fighting covenant over 5 games made them boring and dull.
Reach also gave no interesting story except for the data pads.

I’m just hoping 343 forgets the Reach campaign ever happened. It was pretty much the polar opposite of what a good Halo campaign is.

Our experiences from The Library, Cortana and countless H2 missions tells us that fighting the Flood just is not fun.

Plot device? Again? I mean all we ever seem to -Yoinking!- do is save the universe from the Flood. Aren’t we beating the proverbial dead horse yet again?

I am just tired of the Flood. They could be fun in CE, but every game after that I was just too sickened to care.

Even though I don’t think the Flood will be the main villain, they will most likely be in in some capacity. And I tihnk that is a great thing,. They are very logical story wise, and there is still so much that can be done with the Flood that we have yet to see.

In CE I found them less interesting, they vvere but mere space zombies.
VVhen the cannon further developed the Flood became very interesting.
Still the flood levels themselves vvere very annoying.

In another thread, me and somebody else were talking about the possibility of the Flood being a species in a super-evolved other galaxy, which was sent across by the Precursors and then First Humanity as revenge attacks on the Forerunners (and, by extension, their Reclaimers) for destroying their respective civilizations. In this case, Halo 4 would be about these factions realising the Flood wasn’t doing the job and coming over themselves. In which case, the Flood would form an alliance with the UNSC and Sangheili against the greater threat. I’m not suggesting another Cortana-esque level, I just want a complex plot, not that pathetically simple crap we were fed in Reach.

This way, we get all the interesting Flood canon, but no more crappy levels or tired plot devices.

If this is the case I’m going straight to MM when I get the game, and I have never done that before.
