"Analyze" Feature

This is going to be pretty impressive to see how 343i works the thermal imagery into the environment, and how well the archive will be integrated into the game. One thing I’m noticing about 343, though; they seem to delve deeper into the story than Bungie did during any Halo game production (quite a feat) as is shown with present CEA and Halo 4 knowledge, and everything the developer is pushing out as far as story-buffer. Well, rather, they’re showing the fact that they’ve created such a vast story and interactive experience publicly, while Bungie was playfully secretive (<3). Either way, I can feel the worldwide hype for this game growing daily.

And, have there been any official confirmations about whether or not Kinect is required for Analyze (I have Kinect, but I’d like to be able to tell people what’s what about that)?

I’m wondering this also. I don’t have Kinect, but I want to analyse the -Blam!- out of the game world.

I am not completely sure but from what i’ve read from other threads the analyse feature will be kinect only. I don’t know if this has been offically confirmed however.

You can’t analyze without Kinect, I’m afraid.

As for 343 throwing more story in to the game, I think Bungie always felt that they would make the best game they could and story would come second (that’s why there’s loads of plot holes and inconsistencies in their games). 343 seem to be trying to respect the canon as much as they can and make sure every bit of Halo fiction in consistent.

I really appreciate 343 for doing this. As a fan I found it very frustrating that Bungie broke the canon as much as they did in Reach. It was verging on spiteful.
