Alright guys I’ve played halo since halo: combat evolved and I’m now 23. I literally love these games always have always will but something needs to change now i don’t know what the details of the 343 and Bungie split were and no one but the people who work at both these company’s do. I do know this… BUNGIE is doing it right!!! to any 343 employees that may read this don’t get me wrong I love you guys but something needs to change I don’t know who the community manager is but it seems things that people are talking about here on these fourms is not listened to. I also know that 343 reads these and i also know that the loudest voices don’t speak for the whole community, which brings me back to Bungie this community IS dying it has been for a while now everyone is hanging on for halo 5 and if halo 5 doesn’t do it right i’m not sure if halo will live to see the light of day again Bunige’s Destiny community is thriving and its due to a great content release with TTK and how amazing they listen to there community!!! Luke Smith and Deej are constantly addressing all the issues the community brings up they had a list of popular topics that people brought up and said “hey these are the most popular topics you guys suggest, now not all of these things may be addressed but this right here is proof we hear you and will be working on at least some of these.” So for my Final point
WE NEED TO KNOW YOU HEAR US WE NEED ACKNOWLEDGEMENT MORE THAN JUST A COMMENT ON A POST SAYING “HI” WE NEED TO KNOW THIS COMPANY ISN’T SOLELY ABOUT THE MONEY AND IS ACTUALLY ABOUT DOING RIGHT BY THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THIS GAME!!
I know you can’t do everything the community asks because it would send halo to Hell in a Hand cart let me leave you guys with this though
Why… does it seem like Bungie does do just about everything there community asks for is very smart strategic ways but 343 seems like they come to us and say this is whats happening here is why and you can’t do anything about it.
I hope that no one thinks that I’m attacking them i love this company and i love these games ill continue to support them as long as i can.
pleas comment and let me know if i’m all alone in this feeling!
Thanks
Bungie is very far off from doing anything “right”. Ive also been playing Halo since '01, im 30. 343 is a much better company for this series than Bungie was. Of course this is all my opinion.
I wouldn’t hold Bungie and Destiny as the benchmark. Bungie have angered their fanbase with some of the things they’ve been doing regarding cost of DLC and basically sticking 2 fingers up at those who were there from the beginning. Bungie got into bed with Activision who don’t exactly have the best reputation when it comes to customer care.
343i are doing a very fine job regarding keeping us updated so I have no complaints
Dood … Destiny? Really? I left that game after the first month. I love Halo and this community. I’m not seeing the same problems you are.
Sure we squabble over sprint daily. But we’re passionate and dedicated. And so is 343. You can tell by the amount of content we get: blogs, canon fodder, books, comics, etc. And they’re finally incorporating the larger lore into the games.
I’m a 30 year old long time fan and I’ve never been happier to be a Halo fan. Call me a fanboy if you like, I don’t mind.
They false advertised for the game multiple times. They hid the fact that the story got changed just so people would buy it. If you didn’t buy the $40 or $60 dollar the taken king dlc they remove previous features that were already in the game along with the freedom of choice of crucible modesbasically forcing people to buy the dlc. Don’t even get me started on luke’s smith “you will throw money at the screen” interview basically calling the majority of their fan base mindless idiots. They continue to lie to their community, remember when they said no pay to win items? A couple days ago someone datamined pay to win items and lukes response was “due to bugs those items were removed”. They continue to put patches in the game that lower drop rates or make the loot that does drop useless so you’re forced to play more. They also hid the fact that they removed things from the game, reef, mercury, saturn, etc and put them in the game as $20 dlc
You know why 343 is a better company than bungievision? Because they’re open with the community, they don’t lie or hide the decisions they’ve made for the game they’re making (most of the time). Sure you may not like their decisions but at least they let you know

You obviously haven’t played Destiny man it’s constantly been in gaming news weekly since launch for good and bad but they listened to the community changed the game almost 180 degrees and saved the game and has an amazing community which is what I want for Halo 5 bungee has done a lot of Things right
I played Destiny, Bungie is far far far away from “doing it right” destiny is in fact the reason why i have abandoned Bungie (as long as they work with the Devil called Activision).
I also say that 343i is doing a much better job with Halo than Bungie ever did, yes they started it, but i alwys felt something missing, more precisely, Blue Team, never included by Bungie, 343 delivers. Chief is more Human, never done by Bungie, 343 delivers, 343 taking risks with new things (and I like it), Bungie, they played it pretty much always save (which gets boring).
And yes I play Halo since the very beginning, Halo was the reason why I bought my Original Xbox.
Destiny (Bungie) + expansions = 90$-240$ plus micro transactions. Pay over time.
Halo 5:G (343i) = 40$-250$ plus micro transactions. Pay once and done.
-H5g has had a beta 9 months ago and has reworked and edited many of gameplay to focus on balance = listening to the community feedback.
-343i has the community feedback program, whereby fans can help determine the direction design to remakes. (It’s free to be apart of too.)
-PVP arena in h5g has been rebalanced with equal starts similar to halo 1-3. Can’t say the same for destiny there.
-1$million dollar prize pool in a world tournament. That’s 1$mil going back to halo fans.
-campaign is twice as long as the previous halo. Destinys campaign is reading glimminor cards.
So I think you mean well but I will sum this up with, What???

I wouldn’t call people that make it a habbit of making multiple threads calling people who refuse to pay more money to that scam of game poor , ridiculing them for being smart with their money a good community.

I bought Destiny. Took it back after a month or so. One of the biggest let downs ive ever experienced as a gamer honestly. I would play it again if Bungie were to give me the game + all of its current content for no charge because everything up until now should have been in the original release. The lack of release content was an absolute joke.

You left destiny after the first month so you know nothing of what that games has become which is actually really awesome I’ve heard a lot of the pro’s from halo saying I’m not even gonna play halo until halo 5 drops and if destiny gets a some sort of competitive backing they may not go back to halo

Yeah? So why do I still have to pay £70 just to make Vanilla Destiny playable because I didnt get the season pass. Screw them. I’d rather have the optional Micro-transactions and FREE DLC CONTENT for EVERYONE so not to splinter the community between the “Spends” and the “Spend Nots”.

I’ve been apart of the feedback program since it came out man Halo 5 beta was great don’t get me wrong here I’m looking for more audible feedback from 343 to the community saying we hear you.

I counted the lowest prices for both for those who wait and aren’t buying h5g at launch.

I know they wont. Im also not expecting it. You have to take into consideration that Destiny Bungie is not the same as Halo Bungie. Bought out by Activision and reworked from the inside. Im willing to bet that most of the people that worked on Halo are not employed with Bungie any longer.
yes bungie will give you everything you want, but first you’re going to pay for not quite what you want, then pay for some of what you want, and after that pay for what they tell you that you want.

I played destiny for a couple of months. The game’s crucible balance is still horrible and that’s why it will never be competitive, they still have yet to give any meaning or backstory to your own guardian. They constantly change the loot system every patch from good drops most of the time to very bad drops and when they do luke smith always has an response ready. Light level still matters even though they said it wouldn’t. They’re still going along with the terrible grimoire card system. They might have improved the mission structure a bit but it’s really not that much better than the ghost scan ones of vanilla. The repetitive bounties are still there in the form of npc quest with more steps in them. The grind is not rewarding and bland

An opinion of which I share with you. I’m 26, I LOVED Bungie, but they’re nothing but a money hungry “developer” now, puppets to Activision.
343i has taken Halo to new heights that Bungie was to scared to explore & flesh out.
Im glad Microsoft retains rights to the Halo IP and Bungie didn’t carry it on and do with it what they’ve done with Destiny.
