This video always struck an intense feeling with me, it represents the dark, gritty struggle between humans and aliens. It represents all of what Halo 3 was about, not the fight against the covenant, but the fight for Earth… the fight for humanity. I hope that with everything 343 has gone through, they will create an excellent third game in the main series, just as Bungie did almost 10 years ago.
I remember the trailers for Halo 3 were epic. And when the game finally came out, the game play lived up to the trailer hype. However, this was not the case for Halo 5. The trailers we saw and story we got were 2 very separate things. Overall, Halo 5 has excellent game play and multiplayer support, which dictates the lifespan of any title. So based on 343’s track record, I’m guessing 343 doesn’t care too much about the campaign’s story line, as long as they get multiplayer right. It’s disappointing, considering I thought they knocked the story out of the park with Halo 4…
The release of Halo 3 was the last real “event” launch for a game, IMHO. It was everywhere and you could not miss the lines, the excitement and the promotions. Awesome time for an amazing game.

I don’t know, I was part of the launch for Halo 5 and I can tell you that it was absolutely huge. So many events lined up around the world, the live streams, E3. It was defnitely something. Also being a small part of Halo 4 and MCC, they were just as good as anything before it.
