Below is an interesting thing I noticed, that clearly doesn’t serve an important purpose in the campaign, but is there nonetheless. It doesn’t contain spoilers, unless you are intentionally avoiding the advertisements for the game. Just in case, it’s in a spoiler-box below.
Throughout the campaign of Halo Wars 2, you can find Banished structures littering the path. Unlike the actual bases and mini-bases, these small huts don’t spawn units, and don’t do anything at all - but they can be destroyed.
I think this is interesting, because even though it has no effect on the game at all, it gives players the option to destroy the Banished’s structures, just like how the Banished destroyed the UNSC research outposts.
