Let me just get it straight first, though. If H:I doesn’t have them, COOL! If they do, THEY BETTER HAVE BALANCED IT DAMN WELL.
You guys play Infection? You guys see the dude that always goes 100-0 farming zombies? You see what happens when an entire round goes and it’s only 2 zombies getting the poop farmed out of them? You see how lame the gameplay gets when that happens? How lame it is for the dudes that ARE the zombies? Where everyone has saws and it takes the touch of a feather to kill the zombies?
This might be a rant on Infection lol. It needs serious work. In H4 they had a gametype where it took 2 hits for them to die, and the humans couldn’t jump. It was great.
Anyways… how awesome would it be, to be the humans, no AA, just you’re good ol’ classic spartan, and you see these zombies sprinting, sliding, thrusting, clambering at you? Man. That’d be awesome. (Maybe not all the AA)
Humans aren’t supposed to win in Infection. They can, and they should be able to, but they aren’t supposed to. There’s no way to beat the guy up on the ledge in the corner at the top of the map because he has a ranged gun and you with your “sword” it always happens, everygame.
So, keep the AA for zombies, action sack, customs.
And please, make custom models for infected spartans. H2A made them look so awesome, and H4 didn’t do so bad either. Thank you for reading!
Well I would like to see combat forms as playable characters. Also I think armor abilities will work great for their mechanics, one thing of course would be the Flood Leap, another armor ability I guess would be the Flood Charge.
As for Armor abilities sure balance them, maybe even add ability adjustments to the sand box, you could make some armor abilities don’t recharge so they have to be replaced like equipment while more of the milder ones do recharge.
I just don’t like Spartan abilities, See for me Armor abilities was the natural evolution from equipment where it was part of your armor and at times even combine 2 equipment that worked quite well with each other (i.e. regen and bubble shield). But with Spartan Abilities it was like they gave you all of the abilities which was worse than just leaving in armor lock. At least if you had armor lock you couldn’t sprint, jet-pack or deploy a holographic decoy. Spartan abilities you could sprint, leap, ground pound (which is a 1 second armor lock) without having to chose between which one to equip.

I’d be okay with a complete removal of Spartan Abilities in regular MM, and it being in Action sack type stuff.
