Ever since Halo: Reach, halo has given you a new reason to play, Daily Challenges and Weekly challenges. In Halo 4, we received a new challenge, Monthly challenge.
If you have not yet noticed, Halo 5 is already missing out on a lot of in-game content compared to previous Halo games. Halo 5 feels more of a Half-made game than a fully-developed Halo game, compared to previous franchises. 343 is said to have originally been apart of Bungie, I honeslty greatly disagree with that statement, because it’s pretty evident by their performance and content (They have a tiny few of old bungie members)In Halo 5, there’s no real reason to grind Matchmaking. If you’re someone who does not like the playlist Warzone, you don’t really care for REQ’s except for armor.
You can only unlock armor through the REQ system. You can see already how pointless this is and how it is unfair for those who personally DO NOT LIKE Warzone, it initially ruins their incentive to play.“Well they still gain REQ points from Arena so it’s not a big deal” This would be a true statement if they didn’t say "not a big deal"In Arena, we only have limited playlists. It’s bad enough we can not VOTE for what maps and gametypes we would like to play, but rather everything is randomized. Which also ruins your reasoning for playing.343 focus is mainly competitive gaming they say, but how come they won’t implement “Team Snipers, Double Team, Multi-Team, Team Action-sack, and King Of The Hill” back as permanent playlists? (Those are competitive game types. Maybe not so much action sack, but still
)The armor that we wear we can’t even fully customize, because apparently there’s too much armor. Yet they keep bringing in more armor. That sounds ridiculous. With the wide spread of armor and all the different variations, FULL customization will give people a reason to grind. Remember back to Reach days when you saw “armory completion” you were like… “That’s a lot of ARMOR, this is gonna take forever D:” You grinded matchmaking all the way up until Eclipse when you finally hit 100% armory completion.Halo 5 has 152 ranks, which the ranking system is just gross because it’s a number rather than a rank, that doesn’t even justify your skill level. I rather look at Reach’s “Private - Inheritor” levels vs a "number"It’s said that by the time you reach spartan rank 152 you would have had earned 50 million EXP.
That’s more than enough to earn every armor piece in the game! The REQ system is also random anyways, so EVEN if I did magically grind my way up to Spartan Rank 152
I’m only guaranteed an emblem and the rest is all just useless REQs for Warzone. (Again, what if the person does not like Warzone) There isn’t a Haunted Helmet or a flaming head.
What do you think 343 should do to give you an incentive to play? Do you think 343 should bring back the Challenge system and make more Arena playlists permanent? Do you think 343 should also implement an update that gives us “advanced armor customization” allowing us to change individual pieces of armor and mix them up with other armor sets we have unlocked? As I posted in your identical post, “Back in my day we played to have fun. We didn’t need special incentive to have fun either.”
