An idea, for those against sprint...

We need a classic playlist.
I’ve said this before, but we should still have one…
Make it a week long playlist.
See how people like it.
Classic maps made in forge…
With Sprint, Clamber, Thruster and Ground Pound all disabled…
If people like it, add it into Halo 6 as well, maybe keep it in H5.
If people don’t like it…we’ll see if no-sprint Halo is even that fun anymore…

Can we get a lock on this? We have a sprint thread on the main page already.

Every time a “classic” playlist is put in, it always has the lowest population.

You guys claim this is what people want. Time and time again shows the complete opposite. Every time this happens, your come back is, "well, the game isn’t made for this. "

You guys have a serious issue with accepting that the majority do NOT want the same old recycled stuff from the older games. That time had come and now is gone. Stop trying to relive some moment from the past called “glory days” that never happened in the first place.

I’ve been playing Halo since day one of CE. and I for one do not want to go back that that old, slow gameplay. It’s time to move on, in fact the majority has moved on two or three games ago.

I’m sorry, but Halo is never going to be on top again. The entire gaming community sees Halo as it has run its course, but we all still love it. It will always a popular game, just not the “go to game” anymore. There are way too many triple A titles and franchises being made today and there is a huge diversity of gamers that all want to play different things. It’s no longer the thought, “oh you have an Xbox? Let’s go play Halo then.”

Sprint, new abilities and anything else new is here to stay, get over it. The majority want new and exciting ways to play their favorite long standing franchises.

And about 5 classic playlist threads.

I have a better idea.
Don’t like sprint?
Don’t use it.
Eat some chocolate.
Be a happier person.

About which “every time~~” are you talking about exactly? Halo 4 didn’t have a sprintless playlist. Neither does H5G. Reach had the Anniversary playlist, which was fairly well received, but only features six-ish maps, so it’s not the most diverse option and gets old pretty quick…~~

But I don’t like chocolate.

I don’t want one.
I prefer having sprint.
But it’s what some people constantly seem to be asking for

This is all baseless.

If during h3 bungie would have made an all forge playlist that contained sprint it would have had a horrible population as well.

This is the same arguement the COD community is embroiled in. You can’t judge the popularity of “boots on the ground” COD based on poorly made, afterthought playlists without abilities in AW or blops 3 either.

Also, Reach’s classic playlist came pretty late in the game’s life cycle, after too many players had already been driven away from the game.~~
> Halo 5 will run into the same problem. A classic playlist at launch would have helped keep so many of us from quitting the game. As much as I would love a classic playlist(It’s the only thing that will get me to ever play Halo 5 again), the damage to the population has already been done.

While Reach’c classic playlist did provide some fun, it was a piss poor attempt to recreate classic Halo. Obviously none of this was the fault of those who created the playlist, they did a great job. They just didn’t have much to work with. Trying to take default reach and turn it into a different game with the limited options they had was never going to create a perfect product.

> > The movement was still clunky. Due to the fact that nade and weapons did not have separate damage modifiers, grenades became insanley powerful. All the maps were dull grey, inaccurate depictions of classic maps. It was needle rifle spawn.

not bad

Even still, I’m not sure why people think one playlist is gonna bring back a ton of people who left. Maybe some, but most people aren’t satisfied with just one playlist.~~

I don’t know why people think splitting up the game for two different playstyles is a good idea. It has proven time and time again to not be a significant change to bring people back. Even Reach’s classic playlists, despite being the most well made of the classic playlists in all the newer Halo games, didn’t really give the game a significant boost in population. Either make a sprint less game or don’t. Either way, I can’t see Halo regaining popularity as it has had its time in the sun, which was usurped by CoD.
