In 2008, Todd McFarlane created a Comic-con exclusive action figure inspired by his comic book character Spawn dubbed, the Hell Spartan. For years since I have wanted a way to bring that color configuration into the game and now with Halo Infinite it is more than possible. Admittedly I am more interested in just the colors scheme rather than the armor itself so I would hope that the coating could be applicable to our custom spartans and not just part of an armor kit. Now I don’t know what legalities come with trying to implement someone else’s design into the game. But, if it were added in then I would pay great money for it and I wager that others would too. Ultimately I don’t expect much to come of this but I needed to say it for peace of mind knowing that I brought the discussion to the table. Thank you for your consideration 343!
WB Games have the rights to Spawn, and possibly Hell Spartan, so a direct reimagining of that armor may not be possible.
Coating, definitely possible. But you know what would be better? Giving the players the option to customize their own coating, and sell us colour palettes instead to expand our range of colour combinations. Then you can colour your Spartan WHATEVER you want.
Man, looking at H3 EVA makes me feel things.
H3’s EVA looks well designed, and that the helmet felt more like it was shaped like a Skull. The EVA helmets we see these days just give off the feeling of “Lol you Bald”
Correction Todd has the rights if someone wants to put spawn related stuff in their game they have to work with him
Ah thanks for correcting me.
EVA has always looked like it’s bald.
It did look better in Halo 3 though.
While I think it would be good to have a Spawn-like armor coating, I wouldn’t want to buy it, and I definitely wouldn’t pay great money for it.
I might buy an armor set that looks similar to Spawn and includes that coating however.
