Here is my idea, 343i said they can only have Halo CEA settings that we can’t customize, I have a way around that.

I say that 343i gets all the gameplay settings from Halo 2, halo 3, and ODST and adds them as choosable options in Reach.

For example, I want Halo 2 weapon damage with halo 3 jump settings.

Or I make the Reach firefight on ODST game settings.

This is just an idea, I don’t know if it is possible but it wouldn’t be for this recent update.

Thoughts?

I think 343 will get a lot of different variants to us. I am sure they know we wanted a UI to adjust settings ourselves but they didn’t have the time/resources/etc to give it to us so the gametype option the best alternative. Hope fully we get all the option you suggest and more at least to try out.
