An awesome idea for a new Halo game would be; a game where you create and name you recruit then he/she joins the UNSC Marines. Then you go through training but you make decisions that can go really good for you character or really bad. As you progress through the game you start to get sent out on missions to attack rebels and other enemy forces (Maybe later on in the game you start to fight the covenant) and the more your player does for his team and the UNSC he/she can start getting promoted to the point where you can become a Leader of a squad, be put into an ODST quad or even if you play enough and your player is the best you can become an UNSC commaded of a ship.
It would be a role play form of game but not to big free roam (especially on missions).
Also you could go through selection and training and squads together with your friends over Xbox Live or split screen. This would make the game more fun and less beig told by NPC what to do and follow them.
This is just an idea so if you think this is a good idea let me know or if you think it is bad tell me what could make it better.
Personally I think that this would be the coolest Halo game EVER! Maybe there could be a bit of a battlefield 3 feel to it so that when you play as your character he/she feels more human (If you know what I mean).
Thanks.
