I was watching halo legends episode homecoming and an idea for a fanfic popped in my head, a what if. Like what if Daisy not only met her clone, but also reunited with her parents? What if all the Spartans that escaped reunited with their parents? How much things would change? What would happen? I mean if ONI getting rid of them for knowing wouldn’t go well with the escaped Spartans. Plus how would the parents react to the fact their sons and daughters were kidnapped to become child soldiers. I can imagine the fathers wanting to rip Halsey and Mendez to shreds.would they reject the clones or continue to be loving parents to them until they pass? Would the escaped Spartans a strong bitterness/dislike towards Halsey? This just a what if/ fanfic idea I had. What ya think and what ya think would happen and it would change things.Also keep things on topic , no derailing.
I would imagine the outcome would be pretty much the same either way (short of fanfic plot armor). They parents would simply be silenced by ONI and probably the Spartan as well (unless Halsey manged to stop it).
In addition I don;t believe a crap ton of Spartans escaped… maybe… 2 did successfully (not including escape attempts).
Also worthy of note is the fact that a lot of Halsey bitterness is recorded (at least from the Fall of reach time period). It appears to be either not extrapolated on or simply under cover. Contrary to some people’s opinion Halsey actually cared for the spartan II’s and told them the truth (unless 343 retcons it…).
Granted a Fanfiction about John and maybe then blue team escaping and leading a rebellion against the UNSC does sound interesting.

Well I was referring the Spartans who tried to escape in homecoming. Anyway I can imagine the parents thanks to Halsey influence instead of being silenced are relocated to reach properlly on base as ‘guest’ to pretty much keep an eye on them. Also I can imagine Halsey letting the recaptured Spartans see them as times allow mostly out of guilt. I’m kinda was wondering what kind psychological effect it would have on all partie. Also your idea sounds interesting like what if they joined the insurrectionist and told them about the program. Thats pretty much grade A propaganda wet dream for them.

No, ONI would probably do something… drastic… to the parents no matter what the outcome. To much lose ends… Dead people tell no tales… that or a mindwipe… If they allowed them to go to reach they would probably have an accident down the road…
Halsey is a little bit odd… I honestly believe she would protect the spartan II’s, but not necessarily the parents… for REASONS…
