So, I had a thought earlier today. For Halo Infinite to have Armor Cores and the fact we saw the Mark VII core and the Mark V core (as well as the Yoroi core), would it be safe to assume we’ll get a Mark VI core and a Mark V core and so on? If we do, which would be fantastic… I think I would have to stick with the Mark V armor core if we get it. I started with Halo CE. So for me, it’d kinda feel like showing the rest of the community where I began my Halo journey.
Anyone else maybe feel the same? Say those of you who started with H2 or H3, would you rock the Mark VI armor core and rep your generation/game of Halo? Maybe even the Mark IV from Halo Wars for that Red team rep if you started with those. Halo: Reach brigade, are you ecstatic that the Mark V core is there? Is that what you might wear and show off your Halo: Reach love? After all, the anniversary is upon us.
I just thought it’d be a cool little thing for vets and newcomers of the franchise to show off what kind of Spartan they are, whether they’re Spartan II’s, Spartan III’s or the fresh and new Spartan IV’s in their sleek Mark VII core.
And of course, anyone who wants to wear their favorites/whatever they’d like despite their entry into the series is also A-OK.
Here’s to 20 years of Halo. Thanks for reading.
Great idea! I hope this is how it’s implemented, and I get a feeling this is what 343 is going for too. That said, based on everything we’ve seen and heard so far, lamentably it seems the mixing of armor pieces across different armor cores won’t be present when the game launches. Hopefully 343 allow more expressional freedom and let players mix and match different armor pieces regardless of armor core down the line.
