Flash back to Monday. You are watching the ViDoc. Think about the things you are excited about seeing. What will the graphics be like? What weapons will be shown off? What maps? You watch the whole ViDoc. You saw the BR, you saw the maps, you saw a consistent movement speed. However, you didn’t see sprint.
REMEMBER: BE 100% HONEST WITH YOURSELF AND US.
Are you severely disappointed? Would you consider your side of the community to be disappointed enough to make countless threads stating your opinions? Could you see any of this happening?
If you hadn’t seen sprint in the ViDoc (and for the sake of discussion, it was confirmed not to be in the game), would you be as disappointed (if disappointed at all) as the people who were promised a classic Halo experience and then saw sprint in the video? Would you be making threads about the lack of sprint?
Probably not. I think sprint is a great mechanic in Halo and I would be very disappointed if they got rid of it, but if something is confirmed and I know it then I would probably just talk about it over a game of Halo with my friends.

I think its fine. This halo has had ALOT of work and testing put into it. It wasnt rushed at all. I believe 343 has the balance down. I can rest easy, play reach with my friends and enjoy it until halo 4 comes out
I always feel sorry for the people that are going to make hate threads and worry, complain / whine all the way up until halo 4 is released lol… so much stress over a video game is so unhealthy.
I don’t care. When I saw it I didn’t think wow that is awesome or wow that is stupid. So in my opinion it can stay as long as it is neutral and works the same for everyone. I understand peoples complaints from both sides. However I just don’t understand how people can freak out about something we know so little about. We have no idea how it will work, if will end up being a pickup or just something everyone has. We just don’t know enough information to know whether we hate it or not, so why everyone complaining for or against it is just idiotic to me.
If you’re looking for justification for the way in which the anti-sprinters are approaching the issue, then you’re going about it the wrong way. There is no way that those people in favour of sprint (or, since I haven’t seen any of those people, people who are sprint-neutral) would react so violently to the omission of the mechanic. However, I don’t think that that supports your cause; rather, I think it demonstrates a distinct dichotomy in the maturity of the players on either side of the issue.
I’m neutral on the Sprint issue. I don’t care if its in or out.
I just think its not a huge deal, there will be playlists for classic Halo fans.
It almost seems like the community is taking sides, as if preparing for war.
Halo War 1? Soon battles will be raging across Reach and 3, and millions of Spartans will fall… and then respawn. Flags will be stolen, friendships broken, and bombs explodin. Haha… how fun would that be? … Minus the friendships part.

> Thank you for an honest answer.
i did notice the sprinting going on the first time i laid eyes on the ViDoc and i also remember thinking, i like sprint, its useful for getting where i need to be… god i hope AL isn’t coming back. and thankfully it is not, yay no more armour lock!
I love the idea. And ive played Halo since the beginning.
I dont know why people need to -Yoink- about something that will bring a new dynamic (if they can pull it off well enough) to the game.
I didn’t even see sprint the first time I watched the ViDoc. I new 343 was gonna change Armor Abilities, I also new that when bungie added them, it changed the game way to much to just completely get rid of them. So i wasn’t worried. Honestly, I’ll buy any halo. No matter what. Unless somthing HORRIBLE happens, I’m planning on buying the legendary version of Halo 4. But noone was promised a classic halo experience. They were told some parts would go back to the halo roots, but noone was every PROMISED a classic halo.

> > Yeah, that must be it. rolleyes

> At the very least, give me something to which I can actually respond.
You’re the one that made the ridiculous implication that everyone on the pro-sprint side is mature, and on the anti-sprint side is immature. How do you expect someone to respond to that?
What makes people passionate about sprint being removed is past experience with the game mechanic and our hatred of it. The point that the OP is making is that even in the minds of pro-sprint people, there’s nothing so fantastic and compelling about that game mechanic that they would be up in arms about it if it were removed. So why have a game mechanic that induces hatred in a large part of your fanbase, but even among the people who are ok with it, it doesn’t really matter to them if it’s in or not.
