So, I’ve played old Halos, and many other games on live, but I never had my own console, or live account. After finishing college and not having easy access to roommates’/friends’ consoles+accounts, I bought my own.
So here I am with Halo 4.
I enjoy the game, there are a few things that could be fixed or changed or whatever, but it doesn’t bother me too much. My main issue is with the maps… I’ve been playing this game most night since I got it, but now, I mean, it’s just not fun to me :. I know it has been voiced before, the lack of small maps, etc.
My question is : has it always been like this? How many maps did earlier iterations of Halos have when they went live? I’m asking because 5 maps for a 4v4 game does not seem like enough to me… I’m thoroughly bored. I will be getting the maps pack, but I mean, were we shorted or is this typical? I can’t stand the thought of playing one more game on Complex or Solace… It’s partly the maps themselves, but it’s also the sever lack of variety.
Am I alone in this? Is this normal? Has there ever been free maps added to games? Should we/Can we expect or hope for the same for Halo 4? Because my interest is floundering despite my enjoyment of the game itself.
