It definitely feels like halo but i prefer the old halos without sprint

Halo has been evolving rapidly since CE and I don’t think it will stop. Some games certainly been better than others from the glory of halo 2 to the rough times of ODST. I personally have been a fan through it all. Having said that, halo 5 is my favorite since halo 2 (for online play anyway). The gameplay is unique, smooth and balanced and they have finally gotten rid of loadouts in arena. Everyone has their favorites and there is always room to improve but I think halo 5 is great and I think that 343 has done right by the halo community. The free updates are fantastic I truly have no complaints.

It’s in the original title, it’s combat that evolves. Especially over time. It also has finally evolved the Cluster Luck medal (about time, we needed a separate grenade equivalent of a double kill). Cluster Luck has to be my new favorite medal in matchmaking.

Yes, because nade tossing is totally impossible in other shooters, right? I’m not saying Halo 5 doesn’t feel like Halo, I’m just saying that this specific clip does nothing to prove to anyone how “Halo” Halo 5 is, especially people who find a Halo game “Halo” for different reasons and won’t agree with your opinion.

Rough times have definitely been the past 3-4 years. Not during ODST. Lol most people were just playing Halo 3 at that time.

It is named Halo 5, it feels like old Halo if you turn off sprint, Smart Scope is literally the same aiming with an animation, it is fun, BRs, and overall great gameplay that promotes teamwork.

It’s still Halo but the creativity of a player is now severely limited.

Check this out.

I wouldn’t necessarily call breaking maps creative, people get pissed that people do it in halo 5, but the mongoose kills and a couple others definitely were creative let alone awesome

dont really see how this defines halo in any way, heck you can do that in cod with a knife or grenade. Like someone said earlier, what makes halo “halo” is different for each person so some people like me wont see you point of the video. nice nade though

The issue is that from Reach, every game had those stupid soft kill boundaries. You know the 10 second ones. In the clips from the video, some of them required extremely precise maneuvering to prevent getting instakilled by the guardians or some texture.

Basically, those things where much more difficult to pull off than the map escaping in H5.

I think parts of it hearkens back to the old days, which is I like about it. It is certainly an improvement over halo 4 in terms of graphics, weapons and vehicles design, as well as game play mechanics. The Spartan abilities shows what it means to be a spartan, like the Master Chief himself. Although I, like many others, would have liked to customized my Spartan with individual armor parts like in the last game. But that’s not saying I’m complaining about it, I like some of the armor options we get to chose from, and I also think it was a good opportunity for 343i to be more creative with unique armor designs. So overall, I think Halo 5 is a great thus far.

Fair starts makes it Halo for me.

I like it, but I like the Halo’s that Bungie made. 343’s art style and game play just isn’t Halo to me. Heck, I’d play backwards compatible Halo Reach with it’s frame rate issues before I’d play Halo 5… and no I don’t hate Halo 5.

The only thing that makes Halo 5 still feel like Halo is just its campaign.
