For those of you who don’t know, weapon lowering in Halo is a technique employed in machinima (notably Red vs Blue) that allows players to lower their weapons during games in order to present a more casual stance often necessary for machinima purposes.
Here’s some examples

Basically, it’s used because its awkward to depict people talking to each others with guns pointing in each other’s faces.
Up to this point, the weapon lowering feature only appears in non-online custom games. Because of this, most machinima you see only depict about four players onscreen because they have to lower their weapons locally. Excepting the trick of deleting weapons from the map entirely, weapon lowering has been entirely removed from the Halo online experience for every single game.
With this new game released by 343 Industry, a company which we have seen that is definitely willing to try new things, we can change this stupid rule that has been holding back machinima for so many years. As bs angel recently posted,
“Community feedback is important to us. We’re constantly reading these forums so we can compile your opinions and give them to the appropriate designers. Our volunteer moderating team is amazing at fostering an atmosphere that is conducive to constructive discussion. I hope each and every one of you continue to use these boards as a place to give us your feedback.”
I really want this to be added, and if you disagree, or agree, just leave a comment why you think so.
