the term “an ancient evil awakens” would incinuate that the character known as the ‘ancient evil’ has always been evil, and is finally awakening. this sounds like a petty thing but 343i would have looked into every word and clip shown to the public, and have chosen this combination of words for a specific reason.
The didact hasn’t always been evil, nor is he currently ‘evil’ at the end of primordium. This would support the argument that the didact is not the ancient evil.
Faber IS evil. He is a notoriously bad character and is more likely to be an ancient evil, significantly more evil than the didact.
Another candidate for this ancient evil would be a surviving fragment of mendicant bias, or possibly even offensive bias.
we know that what people refer to as the ‘timeless one’ is dead, so people need to stop talking about the timeless one because isn’t alive, although there could be speculation that the ancient evil could be precursor.
The Didact is somewhat unforgiving and has a very short temper. He is not necessarily the friend of the human species in that regard. However, you should note that his symbol does rotate into an upside down position indicating corruption or change.

It’s still possible. Have you played the game yet? No, so don’t count your chickens before they hatch. I personally don’t think it is Faber, but still.

343 said they had given hints toward halo 4 in the terminals and in the books,i took what i could find and made an opinion on why it isnt faber.

Yeah, but you can’t say for certain that it isn’t until the game comes out.

he’s right, don’t rule anything out, this is all speculation.

The didact doesn’t have a probolem with humans,he doesnt want revenge,he was already up and active before chief got there.

how do you know he was ‘up and active before chief got there’?
I still think its the Flood. Yes they’ve said the Flood won’t be in Halo 4 but I suspect that they are just bluffing to throw us off the scent.
Think about it this way; its the start of a new trilogy, a new storyline, its called Halo and the entire point of the Halos and the predicament of the Forerunner and all Halo universe races is linked to the existence of the Flood. The Flood is the perfect enemy for Halo 4. We haven’t fought them in two Halo games now (ODST and Reach), and now we return to the Chief.
