Not sure if this has been posted before, but some of the other posts here got me thinking about a Warzone simulation that takes place during the war against the Covenant.
Many want to see playable Elites again, but how cool would it be to play as some of the other species as well? That way, everyone gets to play a big PvP mode with all sorts of chaos, but stuff like ranked remains Spartans only to maintain the fair start theme. Granted, implementing a mode like this would have tons of technical hurdles, but how sick would it be if we got to play something like this?
As for why Infinity would have Spartan IV’s doing all this? Simple, it’s an interactive history lesson much like Spartan Assault and Strike. I am not a huge fan of Warzone in Halo 5 so this would be something much deeper than what was presented there.
So like a super big team invasion? I’ve wanted that since before invasion was a thing when the internet whispered sweet nothings of halo2 warfare mode so long ago. Warzone doesn’t deliver the experience I had in mind for it (prelaunch) or warfare.

Yeah kinda. Except Invasion isn’t symmetrical and one side is on offense while the other is on defense. That would be cool too, but I personally like the idea of how scoring is done in Warzone a bit more.

I get ya. I mean the basic framework is the same and we could have one as a variation of the other and a round based variation. Seems pretty straight forward to do as game types go. Regardless I love the idea. And it leaves themed content in the open, battle for harvest, reach, the ark, installation 04, onyx, requim so many cool lore tidbits in MP.
I love the idea of basically invasion 2.0 which is what you’re presenting here. My only problem is the over use of power weapons and vehicles. Ruins the flow of the game. If they made warzone but limited the insane number of power weapons/vehicles it would make the game so much better.
I’m just assuming this but what your supposing is a Elites vs Spartans warzone, this sounds cool now that its brought up it sounds amazing. The base guards would be grunts or jackals (for hit-box purposes) for the elite team instead of both teams having marines and spartans fighting other marines and spartans. Also, maybe only the specific species teams can only have access to their specie’s vehicles and weapons, like invasion. Maybe every once and a while, a temporary capture area would appear, making that area a large contested area where the main battles are. Which ever team would capture the area would get extra points and when the temporary capture area disappears afterwards a pelican/phantom would come down with supplies, weapons, vehicles and reinforcements. Resulting in making that area even more contested. Also a 16 vs 16 would make it higher scale and more intense. Another thing they could do is have each base have a flag of that team and if a team manages to capture it, it would reward the capturer’s team with extra points. Also, a byproduct of adding species vs species warzone is they can get rid of the standard blue and red teams, because colors wouldn’t matter, because they would be able to distinguish the teams by species instead of color, therefore making the customization better. Thats everything I can really think of about this. personally, I think this sounds like a great idea.
