Amount of PC players is low but that’s all I play against

Does anyone else feel the amount of people they play against is heavily on PC. I’d estimate 60 percent of people I play against are PC players, maybe a bit more.

lol ur completely naive then. Halo pc players amount to 11k players. Xbox is like 200k+. Nobody on pc that is kbm would even want to touch this game given how strong aim assist is.

there is no way in hell this game has 200k players on XB right now, maybe day one, but now? it’s most likely closer to 15-18k and that is being very generous

Most people on PC are playing with a controller, but go off, I guess.

how do you know if a person is playing on a pc? or are you just using the old trick “anyone better than me is not playing with the same input and platform as me”

You can simply check a players profile post game to see what platform they are playing on.

Hum, guess I’m one of the few who sticks to KBM.

Couldn’t even play with my XBox One controller anyway, it seems to like to constantly disconnect while playing games for whatever reason lol.

Seems like a lot of work just to see what people use. I presume people just check the better players and not waste their time with lower end players though.

Actually on average the pc population is 4000-5000. Steamcharts is unrealiable because 30 days ago there were a lot more players

Which is why with Infinite I stopped bothering with SK and skilled weapons. I take whatever advantage I get from scavenging weapons and use it to cheese or outgun my opponent. You know, like an Arena shooter.

If you’re using the controller via Bluethooth, it’ll do that. Which is strange because no other Bluethooth devices disconnects like their controllers do, which makes me believe they want you to use/buy their wireless adapter.

If you’re on Xbox you check the person profile and if there’s a PC icon next to the game, then they’re on PC. If there’s no icon next to the game they’re playing then they’re on Xbox. Same applies for PC, no icon they’re on PC. Console icon they’re on Xbox.

There’s pretty much a 90% chance if you’re playing with/against PC players, they’re using controller.

Or, maybe the Xbox player base isn’t all that much either? It did drop down to 8th most played game on Xbox.

I’ve switched to using a controller. I play with acceleration at 4, horizontal at 6, and vertical at 7. I turn really fast. The slow turning speed of controller players is almost a myth. I’m sorry but you are playing against other controller players. People on PC are likely on controller as well. They are only on PC to get 240FPS.

Controller could have aim bot lock and I’d still use KBM. I grew up on KBM, and the 7 years I used controller during the 360/early Xbone years never clicked.

Using controller, I’m worse than the worst KBM user. I’ll take a ‘mediocre’ handicapped input that I’m good with over one that I’m not.

Wow, y’all went wild. I was simply saying it seems for all the “No one plays this game on Pc” rhetoric, I play against an awful lot of pc players.

as someone who played with controller for the longest time and promptly went to KBM as a test run… i’m honestly better at infinite than on controller. ever since then, controller just feels… alien… personaly, going against aim assited players isn’t bad. most that’s just me not minding crossplay (i get why people want it toggle-able) the only thing that’s turning me away and making me not want to touch this game, is the major server issues… and the really lack of anything fun to do. the progression system in it is so boring…

How do you know they are playing on PC?

This is a argument in every FPS game that supports both inputs in crossplay. It’s why we need full input based matchmaking in Infinite.

That said it’s also a struggle for PC controller players as aim assist on Xbox is significantly stronger then it is on PC.

I answered this already, just scroll up.

It’s usually claimed the other way around from console players, that aim assist on PC is stronger than on Xbox. Both are false, they are both the same. Only difference is, PC does not get red reticle but this doesn’t change the behavior of aim assist on PC. I also proved all this in a video.

Not at all my boy. I have a Series X downstairs that’s used as the family console in the family room and I recently started playing a bit and immediately noticed a massive difference in aim assist. It is way stronger.

I’ve watched your video before and the main issue I see is you do all the testing with either the test dummy not moving at all or with very little movement. I can run the same test and get somewhat similar results. But when two people are moving and fighting at full speed there is without a doubt major differences in aim assist.

With all this said however I do believe there is still a bug that will randomly recognize a mkb is plugged in. Even if you launch the game with a controller and even if the mkb is both turned off. While people can run tests all day long the one thing I know for a facts is there is a issue with aim assist. You do lose it at random and you definitely do not have it at all when shields are broke. I’ve been playing Halo for 20 years and I am an above average Halo player and shooter player in general. I can immediately feel when something is off. Just like I can notice desync within seconds. It’s all about feeling and Infinite just feels way off from every other Halo and FPS game in general.

Then by all means, please show us these scenarios you’re claiming. “trust me bro I’ve been playing Halo since day one” doesn’t cut it. I proved AA is one for one on both Xbox and PC, proved that AA does work regardless of shields being broke or not from both player and enemy and proved AA does work while jumping both player and enemy.
