I know this is probably different than what you’re thinking from the title but I just played a game and I was on a killing spree picked up dmr on the run and shot somebody in the back twice and realized I was out of ammo. It’s happened to me multiple times picking up guns with next to 0 ammo and not noticing until it’s too late. You should make the little gun indicators Green/Yellow/Red for full/somewhere in between/ low ammo.

That’s not a terrible idea. As in the message to pick them up is color coded based on the remaining ammo in the weapon/inventory?

Ah, as in the actual ammo indicator after you pick up the weapon. That also makes sense. Either way I support some method of letting the players know with a more quick visual cue the usefulness of the gun they are picking up

Lol no the gun figure before you pick it up. Halo 5 shows a little gun picture not the actual word of what gun it is correct?

That is correct now we are on the same page again. I just used the wrong term in my first comment, when I said message I meant the prompt to pick up the weapons by whatever game design and in H5 that was the image of the gun. We were talking about the same thing at first just using different words to describe it I think.
so your thinking like a different colored outline like halo 5, when weapons dropped
so if theres a weapon on the ground it is in a different color
A small icon just below/above the crosshair that indicates low ammo in the clip would be appreciated
