American accents in Forward Unto Dawn

I’m confused with Forward Unto Dawn so far, all but two of the people who talk speak in American accents. I was under the impression that almost all the people in the Halo universe had a mixture of accents, example the New Zealand, Russian, Australian accents in the game.

Same here, I am disappoint. I want to see more cultures coming together.

Agreed, we need some robotic monotone voices in FUD. Preferably in the same vein as Soundwave.

Sorry?

Americans in an American film? Who would have thought.

I think there is an australian guy… maybe not. But it is an american film

That’s a weird assumption.

Are you saying that they cannot act? and put on difference accents because they are American…?

That’s a bit summative…

Weren’t they used as canon fodder/flood food the whole game? :o)

My flame theory :

American/Canadian/British = UNSC pre-covenant war.
Russian/Mexican/Thingy = UNSC during-covenant war and pre-covenant war insurrectionist.

Not an assumption, it’s in the games and books, UNSC High Command is in Sydney, for example.

How? The UNSC is the United Nations Space Command. I want to see some of everything, and everyone. I feel that Halo should shake this white and American only curse on video games.

I think many of the other actors and actresses will probably be using their own respective accents for their parts. I think the trailer just happened to show 3 Americans.

I don’t know what it is exactly, but the accents in the game make the story much more interesting and tend to draw me in more effectively.

It has. We have seen a variety of races and backgrounds in the Halo series so far.

for 1, its only a trailer. Not necessarily a good example of the full thing. In fact, this scene most likely won’t even show up in the show.

2, It was filmed entirely in the US and Canada, on a somewhat low budget(compared to high-end holywood movies). I expect a few characters to have a British, Scottish, or Dutch accent, but most people will still have an american accent.
