I am one of many individuals facing technical problems because of the lack of AMD card support. There has been talk of a cutoff that was placed on the driver updates that no longer allow fluid gameplay before that cutoff date. I am using a AMD r9 380 graphics card, with the most current up to date drivers. Playing on full potato, windowed and lowest resolution possible, and getting 22 fps max. I’ve adjusted every setting I can think of in-game. and it seems the only practical solution is to get a modded driver for higher FPS. I’m unsure if 343 will add support before the official game comes out, and I don’t intend on updating my card, I seem to be out of options
Any other suggestions from the community on what those like us can do, or any one else facing similar issues, feel free to comment here.

Great advice. That was the same link to the modded drivers I was inspecting. Have you personally used them yourself? Or any kind of modded drivers?
Let’s just hope 343 updates the drivers, or doesn’t use Easy-anti cheat as it’s main hacker barrier. Thank you!

You can always run DDU again and reinstall official drivers. I’m using the hacked drivers now to play halo and I haven’t suffered any more instability than usual.

sadly the driver support is out of 343’s hands. when the game comes out and 343 has implemented proper anti cheat, I suspect Infinite will no longer be playable using this workaround. I am running these drivers right now and after the slightly complicated install process, the experience has been no different to using the official ones.

I tried installing the drivers but when the AMD installer opens and installs the drivers, it gives me Error 205- Windows Update tried revert back to the original drivers, do you have any idea on how to fix this? Also I’m not quite clear how to install these drivers. I would greatly appreciate if you could list down the steps to install the drivers. Thanks!

download DDU and drivers and unzip files if they are zipped. (DDU completely removes all old drivers, It is necessary!!)
boot windows into safe mode and run DDU.
run the driver installer (NZsetup), giving all of the permissions
after that’s done, reboot and run the adrenaline software installer (this will give the drivers a GUI)
Then you should be all good!

I’ve been playing several multiplayer games with anticheat on the Nimez drivers without any bans, if you’ve read that thread you’ll know he’s pulling his updated DX12/Vulkan binaries from Windows Update, which (weirdly enough) is still being updated.
I would expect a ban by now from MCC, Battlefield 1, and Insurgency Sandstorm,but haven’t had anything happen in the week or so I’ve been running this driver, so I’m sticking with it until the end.

Question: I have a 6900xt, and get frame stutters in lots of games. Especially in VR. I feel like this can likely fix my issues, but I also play competitive games and don’t want to risk getting banned. This driver is “signed” and stuff right? Which means that that won’t happen?
Answer from dev:
We introduced “WHQL-Parser” layer technology since NimeZ 21.3.2 release, so the driver just works like official release. Is important to check the WHQL status on dxdiag if the game with cheat protection system refuses to run. Depending on system configuration, this modded driver performance result may vary.
It does show as WHQL signed in dxdiag so I think we really don’t need to worry about it.

Thanks a lot! I missed the part where I had to install the radeon software dependencies, this is probably the reason I couldn’t see radeon software, I guess I’ll have to reinstall my drivers again, but thanks a lot for your help!!

I compared my WHQL to what it should be to avoid any problems and it appears to be correct, however I still get EAC conflicts with the driver files so IDK. I am fighting to get a GPU upgrade before the game comes out and has actual anti cheat to avoid this alltogether.

What GPU? if you’re using 21.9.2 press Reinstall WHQL parser. Always click these button while installing the driver. I played EAC Games too like Paladins, Spellbreak and works fine on my laptop

I’ll give this a go. Is this option in the driver installer (NzSetup.exe)? I don’t expect you to answer right away so I’ll just reinstall and check the installer for the WHQL parser later. I will reply to this thread with results.

I ran NZsetup and chose “Repair DriverStore WHQL State”. MCC launches now without a hitch, thanks for the tip!
