Frankie just made a couple posts on NeoGAF that seem to say that there actually isn’t a skill based ranking system. They’re pretty unclear so see for yourself before you go spreading rumors.
He does say “clarity incoming” so lets hope for the best in the coming weeks.
I really wish 343 weren’t -Yoinking!- tied down to Microsoft. If they were an indie company, they would be free to talk about all of this without restriction.
Still pissed off about all the vagueness. A simple -Yoinking!- yes or no should not be hard.

Okay. I’m just going to pubstomp and stat pad until the causals cry about it. No skin off my nose at this point.
Absolutely nonsensical that there isn’t one, but whatever. I don’t have to worry about facing good players, and I can just stomp all over players that just got the game.

Agreed. This is going to cause a -Yoink!- before they can clear it up.
