Amazon Pre-Orders Not Arriving Today?

Anyone else have amazon just getting around to shipping their pre-orders this morning in the US? I woke up to emails saying my “guaranteed release date arrival” will not happen until Thursday. Will think twice about using them in the future.

Update: After much investigation it is pretty clear that Amazon was trying to save themselves money by shipping my items with others I had ordered (despite my Prime membership and request to ship items as they come available). They also seem to have a “last-in first out” process - so if you pre-ordered a long while ago you appear more likely to receive your shipment late. In any case Amazon has lost much business from me in the future. Looking at their latest earnings report they can ill-afford to alienate loyal customers like this. A huge mistake on their part.

Nope, mine was shipped yesterday morning, and is out for delivery. Sorry folks, Amazon’s always been really unreliable when it comes to release date shipping. Amazon is fantastic for prices and inventory, sucks for pre ordering.

Mine looks to be arriving on time. According to the tracking it just arrived in my state after being halfway across the nation just a few hours ago.

Mine too.

My other copy shipped out yesterday and is awaiting arrival to its destination. I’ve never had an issue with Amazon and pre ordering

Where do you live OP? Mine has been out for delivery since 6am (I live in southeast Wisconsin). If you’re on the east coast, blame Sandy.

I think mine is going to ship today, but I think it’s cause the factory is close by. So perhaps I will be getting it today! I hope so!!!

what amazon are you using then? i have never had a issue with them in many,many years. you can’t beat paying zero to pre-order.

My Amazon order is out for delivery. I have never had problems with pre ordering games from them.

Mine has been on the delivery vehicle since 5:30am. UPS doesn’t start shipping until 9AM, i always see the UPS truck around my house aaround 10am-11am, so mine should hopefully be here in the next hour or so.

lucky, i’m like the last section on the route. i gotta wait till about 5.

I live in Northern VA and mine was also delayed.

Status is “Shipping Soon” but the estimated delivery says it will still arrive today.

I’m expecting to have my delivery delayed by 2 days due to “adverse weather conditions”.

This really does suck.

I preordered Halo 4 more than a year ago on Amazon and selected release date delivery. My shipping status only says “Shipping Soon” with estimated delivery being Thursday, November 8. I spoke to two Amazon customer service reps and they offer no solutions. I’m very pissed and will never bother with Amazon for release date delivery again in the future. I got Halo Reach at midnight at Gamestop and that was smooth. I regret trying Amazon this time.

Mine is on a UPS truck waiting to get delivered, I CAN’T WAIT ANY LONGER!

Update: I spoke with a third customer service rep at Amazon, they acknowledged they messed up, and they’re giving me a $20 credit, but I still don’t get the game until Thursday, FML. Don’t they know Halo is like crack -Yoink!- to us.
