Amazing Lag Spikes

How many of you have experienced unplayable games due to lag since 343 took over?

I don’t want to point a finger at them, but it would be nice if the lag could be reduced. I just played a Rumble Pit game and it was completely unplayable and I had to leave it, which was extremely frustrating.

Could I possibly have an explanation for these lag spikes?

-Your own internet connection

Well it’s not just me lagging the whole time.

Sometimes it’s fine, but 1/2 the time everyone is teleporting places and people are assassinating from the front.

I just played a game where everyone had a yellow bar to the right of their name.

So it’s definitely not me. I don’t know why it’s like this, though.

I’ve been having the same problems for the past two weeks.

Yeah sure now its 343 fault.

I have been in a few very laggy matches lately, mostly firefight ones, but it is nothing new.

It happened plenty of times before 343 owned it. Even if it is their doing, give them a break, they just received a multi-billion dollar industry, they still have to work out some bugs.

343 is doing fine imo.

How many times must this be said?

343 does not host games, absolutely nothing has changed.

This isn’t a discussion, it’s not a matter of opinion, it’s fact.

Halo uses peer 2 peer connections, the games are always hosted by a player on their xbox. Either you’re just getting randomly unlucky repeatedly, using selective memory or it’s just your connection.

This actually clears something up that I wasn’t sure of.

So if the host has a really crappy connection, then the game will lag a lot? Right?

Correct.

Sorry for the slow reply, I just completely forgot about this thread.

It’s been picking terribad hosts.
