Amazing idea to balance the jetpack?

I’m sure there are many ways to balance the jetpack but I’ve got a really good one.

The weight of the weapon you’ve currently got equipped decides how fast and high you can fly with the jetpack as well how good you can move the weapon while flying. For e.g. if you had a Magnum or Plasma pistol, you’d be able to fly around quite fast while still able to knock off some well taken shots. But if you decide to fly around with a rocket then it’d be fairly difficult to aim due to the weight and bulkiness of the weapon as well making it slow and a pain to fly around. And if you flew around with lets say a Carbine or BR then you’d still retain a fairly fast speed but have a serious aiming detraction due to flying around and shooting. And something like the DMR would be really hard as the quick and sudden movement of flying would throw the aim far off.
And with that, the bigger the weapon the faster your charge burns.
every weapon would decrease in accuracy in some way so the bigger the weapon, the more negatives that come with it hence the more accuracy decreased

So what do you think?

JUMP-PACK

that is all

Actually, I’d be OK with OP’s suggestion.

Now the rest of this thread will be about no jetpacks at all.

I think a decrease in accuracy while using it would work.

Or they can make it a jump pack and not let people “fly” at all.

> I think a decrease in accuracy while using it would work.

I would go with this.

yeah, not a bad idea at all actually, what if heavier weapons burned through the charge faster too?

> I think a decrease in accuracy while using it would work.

Well yes, every weapon would decrease in accuracy in some way but the bigger the weapon, the more negatives hence the more accuracy decreased

Since the jetpack can easily lift 1000 lbs of armor and spartan, the wieght thing makes no real sense. The decrease accuracy is a good idea, but it should be in MM at all coz it breaks the maps.

Definitely
Makes sense, I’ll add it to my OP.

Well I never said the more heavier, the harder it should be harder to lift, just harder to use while flying as it’s harder to use something the bigger it is.

I would also recommend a slower recharge rate that way it will discourage spamming.

Personally I don’t think JP should exist at all however (if someone held a gun to my head) the jump-pack is probably the best idea; allowing players to fly is both OP and ruins map design.

That would make sense. I’d like it.

Thanks.

How about one where you can’t use certain weapons???

But I like your suggestion OP
