AMAZING IDEA FOR HALO 4 INFECTION!

In Halo 4’s multiplayer, if they do have infection mode, players should turn into the flood when they are infected, and instead as playing as a spartan with an energy sword when you are infected, you should play a as a flood combat form with an energy sword! That would be awesome! What do you guys think?

Flood Combat Forms when infected in Infection!

here’s why it’s very much possible:

 1. there’s no dual-wielding, so the giant left arm can still be there (and be used to throw nades, because while we haven’t seen Flood throw nades I’m pretty sure they can)

 2. everyone knows the Flood will be coming back. to say they don’t is a lie. Infinity is training the Spartans. Infection can’t possibly be canon unless the Spartans are training against the Flood (which makes complete sense)

 3. Flood Combat Forms when infected in Infection makes sense canon-wise too, since Spartans can be hologramed to look like them, with jump height increased, etc… because the Flood can be just as intellegent as a Spartan, but with better traits

 4. Flood Combat Forms can drive vehicles (as seen in Halo 2), so that gameplay is also possible

 5. Halo has its own Zombies, the Flood. if I make myself completely Drab, then go into Rumble Pit, am I suddenly a smart Zombie that can use a gun? or if I pick up an Energy Sword, now am I a Zombie with shields in Rumble Pit? no; of course not. so why should Infection have Drab colored Spartan when Flood Combat Forms are very, very much possible?

 6. 343i recently stated every gametype has it’s own unique assassinations. wouldn’t they just be lieing if Drab colored Spartan with Energy Swords were in Infection? with Flood Combat Forms when infected in Infection, brand new assassinations are possible (it could just possibly be one to save time/money/animation/space)

let me come back with more reasons later…

This has been suggested many times. But it would be awesome

Has Bungie/343i seen these suggestions?

Who knows???

If the infected don’t turn out to be Flood, I hope the zombies actually look infected instead of a clean spartan killing other spartans.

Can you imagine yourself holding the SAW and spraying the hell out of multiple zombies running at you? I can and it’s awesome!

> > This has been suggested many times. But it would be awesome

It’s been suggested since Halo 3 first had the Infection gametype was first introduced. there’s no reason why Spartans become drab and have Energy Swords, and suddenly they’re Zombies when Halo already has its own Zombies. when Reach was nearing its release, many assumed Flood Combat Forms when infected in Infection was happening because the only thing said about Infection was Safe Havens. no gameplay. no screenshots. none of that. when Reach came out, many were disappointed.

I’m really, really hoping that after 5 long years of people asking, it will finally happen.

 1. No Grenade throwing.

 2. They are not coming back. I dont know how many times Frankie has said this.

3)Ok.

 1. No.

The Flood aren’t in the Story mode, I doubt very much that 343 are going to make Flood Models just for one playlist.

That would be awesome. But in Reach infection only had Shotguns/Magnums as weapons against the infected.

That kind of starting loadout is fine! About the SAW bit: You find it on the map or call in an Ordinance drop! It’d be too OP if everybody started off with a SAW! XD

 1. You have to think about not just Matchmaking, but Customs also.

 2. You just lied. Frankie has said “you will not fight the Flood in Halo 4”. that does not mean also Halo 5 and 6. they’re coming back; it’s inevitable.

 3. Yep.

 4. Yes, it did look funny when a Flood Combat Form was driving a Ghost, but fix that, and it’s completely possible. again, think Customs.

when developing a gametype, you have to not only consider what Matchmaking will have, but also Customs. Flood Combat Forms can do everything that people want to do in Customs. throws nades? check. drive vehicles? check. carry SAW single handed? check (they carry Rocket Launchers single handed in CE and Halo 2). now considering the reload animation. we’ve never seen how Flood Combat Forms reload their weapons, but I’m sure they do, and I’m sure 343i could figure that simple animation out.

> The Flood aren’t in the Story mode, I doubt very much that 343 are going to make Flood Models just for one playlist.

Just one playlist? Let’s just look at that one little playlist:

It became it’s own little Custom gametype in Halo 2. It became the most played Custom gametype in Halo 2’s entire history.

In Halo 3, it became it’s own official gametype because it was so popular in Halo 2, and Bungie recognized that “one little gametype”. It then became a playlist for Double EXP Weekend, first appearing on Halloween weekend. It became one of the most played Double EXP Weekend playlists. there was thousands of Customs playing “Fat Kid” and “L4D” and much more.

In Halo Reach, it finally has its very own permanent playlist. It is the second most playlist in Halo Reach, right below Team Slayer, and sometimes above it.

this “one little playlist” is one of the most played playlists of all time. it is one of the most played gametypes of all time. it is the most played Custom gametype of all time.

why does CTF, Oddball, Assault, Headhunter, Stockpile, and many others get much more attention and care when they are very much played less? or Invasion? Invasion in Halo 4 gets a complete revamb with a new “Elite” basically. why put in all that time for a new player model for a gametype that is very much less played than Infection?

putting Flood Combat Forms when infected in Infection isn’t just “one little thing” that 343i could add. yes, they put in the art time, the hit detection time, and other stuff, but in the end, it is very, very much worth it.

Also think of all the machinimas people can make with flood!

I have my own reasons to believe that this is true…

Yes! Remember The Forgotten Spartans? He’s using the Flood now, and Conan shows up infected by it, yet he just looks the exact same but with an Energy Sword and roars. yaaawn…

Machinimas can do much justice with Flood Combat Forms. it’d definitely make them much scarier. look at some good Zombie Machinimas now: they use Drab colored Spartans/Elites with Energy Swords, and it’s already scary, now imagine Flood Combat Forms!

Was thinking about this and yeah this over Due! Give us flood form of infection! Hey (dude who made this thread) make a poll

 1. Custom’s are different. In Matchmaking, No.

 2. Since when were we talking about the whole trilogy?

 3. Custom’s let you do what you want. In Matchmaking, Never. No. Not gonna happen.

It doesn’t matter if it’s one of the most played playlists in the slightest. The simple fact is that it’s not needed.

In Campaign mode it’s required if the Flood play a part in the story. You can’t not have the Flood models in a part with the Flood. With Multiplayer/Customs/Whatever it’s not needed.

We’ve done perfectly fine with the normal Spartan models for ages and nobody has ever complained. Know why? Because there was nothing to complain about. The models did what they were supposed to do and nothing more. Adding Flood Models isn’t doing anything but adding a small cool factor. Why bother with that when the designers have worked hard on all the new Armor pieces for us?

It’s a good idea yes, but it’s also pointless.

> Was thinking about this and yeah this over Due! Give us flood form of infection! Hey (dude who made this thread) make a poll

Ok, btw how do I add a poll to an existing topic?
