So can only drop in the number within the division or can you also drop divisions such as dropping from platinum to gold?

It depends on how much you win/lose. If you win more than you lose you will increase in rank, conversely if you lose more than you win, you will rank down.

makes sense…haha it would be dumb if you couldn’t de-rank divisions…everyone would end up in the same one
