At the grand old age of 47 I still enjoy playing Halo Reach!
Is this a good thing or not. Before you answer this think about what you will be doing when you get to this old age, gardening?
I’m not that good at playing as my reactions are a bit slower so forget DMR duels. But taking a more patient approach to the game I really enjoy skirting around a map to find the enemy sniper for my favorite medal, killjoy!
Only 1.5m credits to inheritor, lets hope I live that long.
Lol you’re that close, keep playing until you get that skull…I would do so much for that skull but, I’m still forerunner.
My dad’s older than you and still plays Halo. I vote no!
I dont think you can ever be to old to play…but rather too young (both mentally and physically) to play Reach haha
Always hear of young adults playing it (or adults) but never a 47 year old…
I say just do what you want. People’s opinions only matter much in certain areas (not trying to flame naysayers here)
NO! I’m 42 so maybe I’m biased a little bit.

Well if you were 11 then you’d too old since Reach was meant for 10 year old(s).

I seriously wish people actually enforced the rating thing. Or at least listen to your voice before allowing you to buy a mic.
I really hate 8-year olds with microphones. In my opinion any kid under 14 or 13 should not be in Halo.

Never too old to be a Spartan.
I’m 38 and I play HALO all the time. You’re only old when you start thinking you shouldn’t do the things you enjoy.

37 and I play everyday!
You can never be too old for Halo
Age don’t matter!
I too am biased (40 yrs)…but I have played Halo more times than I care to remember…we talking 1 000s of hours.
At least once a year I am playing some kind of Halo game. The wife believes I should sell all my games (800+) and keep Halo and Forza…its all I play!!!
I am new to online play though - and am being pulverised BUT as a gamer who was against online I am having way too much fun (way more than I thought I ever would/could).
I guess, judging to the fact you still do enjoy playing this game… it really shouldn’t matter even a bit. Do just presicely whatever you want , and don’t look behind you at all.
Its great to get all the positive feedback.Thanks.
I agree that some of the younger players are more of a problem eg. team killing.
I hope that we all keep playing reach online to keep the game alive.
Video games are not classified to be popular to just one age group. It’s the same concept as movies. Although movies are rated depending on how graphic it is, Parents can still watch movies such as Toy Story or Wall-E and continue to enjoy them. Video games are the same way. I applaud you for continuing to enjoy Halo. I vote no for sure.
Absolutely not. Be thankful you discovered this form of entertainment. It completely engages your mind, allows you to forget all the responsibilities of adult hood for a while, improves your thought quickness/reflexes, and beats the H out of mindlessly watching yet more reality television or some other passive junk. It also, if you want, gives you a community to interact with and lets you interact with people of all ages, including the young. Youth may seem shallow and immature at times but youth also provides enthusiasm, energy, and often times a positive outlook that can be contagious and beneficial to be around.
I feel that the original trilogy’s story is wonderful.
About SpeedyandRose’s post about parents watching kids’ movies, it made me feel the same way about the story of the original 3 Halos.
You have to be mature to really get the satisfaction of the story. And after playing Halo Reach multiplayer, i’ve seen it’s common to get immature kids in a game.
I’m 41 tomorrow. I hope I can still play at twice that age. Don’t let it get to you, even if it seems like you are the old man in the group, Experience counts, and you are noticeably higher ranked than me. I bet you kick teenage -Yoink- regularly.
