Am I the only sees the trailer as a metaphor?

Honestly, the trailer is hinting at what will happen in the game. He is not wearing the cloak for style, but to symbolize his isolation since cortana died. Also, a dead give away that this trailer is not to be taken seriously… is he still has Cortana’s chip. That chip was disintegrated when the Didact disintegrated the pillar…and if it did survive that… it then got blown up by a Havoc Nuke. Seriously, I figured this out the first time I watched it… why are people taking it seriously. It’s just a giant Metaphor.

Or it could be exactly like the Halo 4 trailer and be non-canon.

I don’t remember Master Chief boosting through the Dawn and completing the mission in 12 seconds.

You’re right that the trailer isn’t to be taken 100% seriously. However like the Halo 4 Reveal trailer some things should be noticed, such as the environment, the forerunner “Guardian” (Just a nickname), and the symbolic meaning of having Cortana’s AI chip.

Yes but the booster pack did exist and he did have to escape the Dawn. All the elements are canon, just not the way they were depicted.
