It can be turned off. What’s the make a model or your TV?
I know how it works. this is my field. How do you think it’s getting a frame that’s not there? It’s processing it. Meaning it’s taking the input and holding it before releasing it, resulting in image delay.
If you care to understand how it works and why not to use it for gaming…

Most TVs don’t offer motion interpolation in Game Mode, so if you want to use motion interpolation, you’ll need to disable Game Mode, which dramatically increases input lag. Samsung is the only brand that offers motion interpolation in Game Mode, so input lag is low with the feature enabled.
Each TV company calls its motion interpolation settings different things. Below you can see the names for each; these are valid for the 2021 models. With most TVs, you have to set the main setting to custom then adjust the sliders.
Have multiple friends with similar PCs to yours and they have similar issues (tried steam and xbox app to see if it would make a difference - it didn’t). Other friends with still beefy PCs though not quite as good as yours, similar crashing issues. I need to upgrade my pc and only have RX 480 but I crash every 6-7 games when I play on PC (only about 50 total I think I’ve played on PC). Usually play on my series X - I’ve crashed there 2-3 times out of probably 700 games. Friends with base xbox ones also crash probably 1 out of every 20. Don’t know anyone with One S or One X or series S but from what I’ve read, they are better than base xbox one and PC (high end or low end lol). Optimization is needed, lots are waiting for content…a lot are also waiting for some optimization.
I’ve only ever had 1 crash and that was when my game just closed with no warnings or errors. I have a pretty beefy set up though so maybe that’s why? I don’t know.
But luckily I’ve not experienced any other crashes than that 1 instance.
im at the same crash is really not funny cause at the beginning was Absolut fine run with 130- 144 fps always, and with just one update the game go to trash i mean crashing every time I play, always y enter and the game crash, enter again, 15 min and crash again, i try all the that he mention on top, @supportteam please help us! its really frustrating
You’re definitely not the only one , i used to crash constantly ( i don’t even play this game anymore) and like you i couldn’t find a solution, only 343 can fix it
Ever since I started playing Infinite again in the past few days, I’ve been getting crashes here and there.
I’ll be playing in a match, and it’ll just crash out of nowhere.
I have a powerful PC as well (Ryzen 9, 24GB Ram, RTX 3070) and I would crash multiple times during my gaming sessions on a daily basis. I also tried the steam and xbox app versions, but still crashed. I got tired of all the crashing, so I bought an xbox series x over the holidays and have not crashed a single time since moving to series x. The game is badly optimized for PC, not sure there is any solution atm, eventually 343i will improve it, but no one knows when exactly. 120fps with performance settings on series x is really not bad at all, and at least you know your game will not crash.
Tactical OPS is done and I was putting off the ranked because I was annoyed with the reset. 3 games left. Was leading a ranked game 3-2. Crashed with 2 minutes left. My team lost. The game counted towards my future rank
No you’re not the only one. Infinite crashes way too often on pc. Honestly, I think 343 should fix this before adding any content. Hard to enjoy the game when the game itself isn’t letting me play it
Is anyone besides me still experiencing crashes to the xbox dashboard from this game? I thought with the update of season 2 it would stop, but it is still randomly booting me to the xbox main menu. Primarily I play ranked so it happened during my placement matches, and then the people I play with are stuck in a 3v4. It’s really unfortunate. This doesn’t happen with Apex or any other games I play.
Im on PC, and after the S2 update i can no longer launch the game. Everytime i try to load the game from the Xbox app i get the Blue Screen of Death and my computer automatically restarts. I have tried reinstalling, repairing, scanning for corrupted files, nothing works. Submitted a ticket but who knows when thatll pay off. On Windows 11, OS and drivers all up to date.
How is this thread from January and my game is still crashing every two to three hours or so? The other day it caused a complete system lockup (congrats, haven’t had one of those in a decade), not only is it a new fully up to date Windows 11 PC, I repair computers for a living so its not my PC. Seven months later from this thread being posted and not one reply here from 343i? Your game is damaging hardware and costing people money due to the bandwidth issue that was finally fixed and you’re telling me not one person at 343i was running Wireshark to monitor network activity? What do you people do all day, are you actually controlling the bots manually?
I haven’t even complained about the desync yet … my bullets often do no damage and I have 600MB+ speed, my melees do no damage even though I hear the hit, or they do less damage, no one wants to play such a broken game. Then on the other side of the spectrum I’ve been killed in a single shot by a pistol when I had a full overshield, this game makes no sense, your company makes no sense, why do you exist, what do you do? What the heck is going on with this game yo? Doesn’t Microsoft care about Halo anymore? As a lifelong Halo fan it feels like this is the end. Are you trying to push me back to Destiny 2 because at least that game detects my shots and has loads of content. You released a broken alpha, called it a beta, then a full release, yet it remains a broken alpha. Anyone else delivering such a broken product would have been fired long ago. Its really sad to see Halo completely mishandled by 343i once again. I’ve been playing since the “beta” dropped, how is it that the game keeps getting worse? By that I mean crashing more, more desync, weird stuff with the menus like stats being completely blank and so on.
TL;DR: How is desync not the highest priority next to game crashing then new maps?
I’d assume you’ve contacted the support team?
I’ve had the problem on certain maps, like Breaker crashes the game no matter what. Maybe try another map i you’ve only played LSS recently?
Recently updated to Windows 11 to see if it fixed the issue and I still crash every 2-5 games. My PC completely locks up and I have to hard reset it.
I have an AMD Ryzen 5600x, an AMD Radeon 6700xt GPU with 32 GB RAM and running on a Samsung 980 Pro M.2
I did the same as OP and bought my PC purely for a better Halo experience when I used to play MCC mostly and I’ve had a worse experience on Halo Infinite then I ever did on my Xbox one arcade console…
The optimization is truly shocking on this game, especially considering Halo Infinite uses like 50% easily of my CPU resources alone when just idle on the main menu
