Am i the only one..

Am I the only one who thinks the only problem with any of the Halo’s is that 90% of the community are morons?

It’s simple, if you don’t like a game… don’t buy it. Don’t try spoil it for the people who actually do.

Just because someone complains about it doesn’t mean they don’t like it. To be honest, forums would be REALLY boring if it was nothing but a bunch of people talking about how perfect the game is. Not to mention a lot less populated.

If you had asked me what was great about the Halo franchise before Reach I would have said it was variety and the community.
If you asked me what I think is killing the Halo franchise today I would say it’s the lack of variety and the community.

The people that hate Reach so much are defiantly not a big part of the Halo community. Maybe someone on the forums, but not community. I liked Reach since the Beta and it has grown on me ever since!

I think the OP is wrong.

Halo Reach was about adaptation. it wasn’t Halo 4 or Halo 2. It’s in all on it’s own combining everything Bungie saw us do. Since Halo 1 we’ve been acting out our Load Outs, moving to our objectives. Halo 2 and thee the same, especially 3 with the equipment. ODST was a test drive for fire fight. The Alpha and Beta were our chance to say “We don’t want this or that”

Since then it’s been about adaption. Using a specific AA for a specific situation. That and common sense.

You are incorrect about the source of the problem, rather than 90% of the community causing problems for the 10%, its more like 10% of the community making problems for the other 90%.

Im not sure it can be fixed until the other 90% start treating the 10% like they have been treating 90% for a year. Fortunately for the 10% though that 90% of the communtiy is just your average everyday gamers, who wants to have fun when the play and really is not interested in that kinda BS.

I think the 10% thinks it makes them look cool. It does not =/ not even a little

Yup, the hundreds of thousands of people who quit playing Reach in the first months definitely are 10%. Thats why Reach has 300.000 people online playing. Oh wait, i don’t think they had this after the first week. HMM interesting

I do not think 90% are morons. Just the ones who complain the loudest and most often about the same things over and over again. Okay folks, we get it you don’t like Reach. Do us a favor and stop playing the game, go find something else to do until Halo 4 comes out and quit filling up these forums with senseless posts that just drag some of the rest of the community down.

Actually is was a month and a half before that stopped dropping, and that’s because, I don’t know, more games came out? Also more have come back since anniversary. Also, many people switch between all the various games that are out today. I myself switch between Gears 3, Skyrim, and Reach. I would like you “vocal minority” Reach haters to at least get your facts straight and use a more civil tone when arguing your clearly biased/ignorant points. The vocal minority on here is a lot less then 10%. And OP, I am glad to see someone who is able to see the simplest mistakes with the community like myself today, I didn’t think anyone else saw the problem.

I spend majority of my time playing doubles with a mate, I’m not saying we are the perfect team but we do quite well most of the time… When you play someone who beats you, they either send you a “bk” related message or just generally do the whole t bag thing…

Or at the other end of the scale if you do well, you get told you camp or use power weapons…

At least these are my epxperiences…

Adding that to the majority of forum topics over at bungie, I just hate to think that halo will be forged in the views of these people.

343 keep your own creative integrity.

wrong. The Halo community has a very small vocal minority that ranges from:
hyper competitive -
kids that rant about mlg/arena, usually pretty good at the game. Acknowledge reach is a great game but wish it was better.

socially casual -
pro-change, pro-fun, pro-no ranking system

hardcore trolls-
“Halo Reach and Halo 2 are the worst games of all time. Halo 3 FTW” - madbrah

extremely radical views-
ZB needs to replace every playlist and those that choose loadouts other than sprint deserve eternal hell fire.

From what Ive experienced 99% of the online halo community outside of these forums can be divided into 2 categories.

Those who like this game and like to win-
good spirited players and trash talkers alike that love halo and play reach at least once a week.

Those who like to have fun-
Grifballers, zombie slayers, and invasion fodder that love to jump, melee, and drive vehicles. These people dont care AT ALL about winning. (I know try hard kids, it might be hard to understand) but these kids LITERALLY DO NOT CARE what happens, they just like funny plays and joking around with friends.

While I very much appreciate what 343 is doing to bring halo back to the competitive and MLG scene, they need to keep in mind that the majority of thier community plays for fun, as do the majority of most gamers.
And while taking MLG out of halo would be a sin,
Taking the fun out of halo is an abomination.

BTW, before someone responds with:
Reach is not fun or competitive, the population reflects this.

Take into consideration, is COD MW2.5 fun or competitive?
Take a look at its population.

Like I said: Most players want to -Yoink- around and have fun.
The sooner you accept that, the sooner you can be at peace with reach.
