The update corrupted, prompting a reinstall which has corrupted 4 times now. The game will not install past 9 gigs.

I cant play one of my favorite games.

Did you try to uninstall the game? If so, reboot the Xbox and see if it is actually gone. For me it reappeared.
I’ve “solved” the issue by doing an Xbox factory reset. This will empty out the harddisk.
You should not lose any saved games etc because they exist in the cloud.
Sorry I can’t give you a better option.
