Am I the only one who thinks this?

So I’ve been looking at some leader votes for Halo Wars 2 DLC and they come up with SGT Johnson (Of course) The Arbiter aka Thel 'Vadam, Rtas 'Vadum, A grunt leader, and so on but I seem to be the only one who thinks that Tul 'Juran would make a good leader being that she is the Captain of her Fathers Guard… even though the book was pretty short I think that this makes her worthy of making the list. Anyone else think this?

Honestly while I know most people probably want franchise staples, and DLC is likely to reflect that from a sales standpoint, I think extra factions is a great way to expand areas of the lore, giving species and characters a time to shine they otherwise wouldn’t.

I’m fine with Halo Wars having its own identity. It doesn’t need to replicate Halo FPS characters. Go to the lore or its own creativity.

Yeah, tbh I don’t see what most the ‘usual suspects’ bring to the table.

Johnson, Chief, and Lasky feel like they’d just be reskins of existing forces with voices. I guess Chief and/or lasky would have more spartans maybe?

Thel or Rtas could at least perhaps give us a more elite-focused faction or something that resembles HW1 covenant. Having both as leaders would probably be overkill. That said, I feel like this is the creative space the shipmaster should have occupied anyway.

The hellbringer girl is honestly a nice example of what they could do with dlc leaders. Instead of trying to slap some mechanics on a voice/leader graphic, instead coming up with an actual fun themed force.

Chief and Johnson don’t even make sense. Both are only experienced at leading squad level-platoon level engagements. Neither are lead armies sort of people.

To be fair, neither is forge, anders, or Isabel

Michael J Caboose

Hero unit is Sheila

i think we all agree we need a promethean leader with promethean units before the season pass is finished

Would give us another faction to play as

I think we will probably see a female elite commander. But you have to remember that we currently only have the Banished faction. Its not a Covenant. Storm Covenant or Swords of Sanghelios faction. So until they add any three of those I think we are just going to see Spirit of Fire and Banished commanders.

No, no you are not. I don’t/ haven’t been able to read many of the newer Halo books, but putting in there Sgt. Johnson and the arbiter isn’t very creative and just going for the Halo franchise quick money… The hell bringer girl and her lore is great example of how they can add some interesting lore into this story without doing anything to mess with Halo universe.

I like grunt leader. I wish the Shipmaster had more elites in gameplay.

Promeathon for multiplayer and a unique twist to multiplayer would be fun non canon wise

Agreed, then we would have a more diverse and in some cases a fresh new way of playing the game… well maybe

It’d make a great excuse to expand the Promethean arsenal.

My only issue with a grunt leader is how affective would the hero unit be? they were gonna add the silly unit which is grunts. why not make a giant grunt with the plasma pistol just give if a ton of health to make it goofy. or give it a unique vehicle like forges warthog. imagine a grunt in like an armored ball mech similar to the destroyer droids from star wars. it would have to be cool or goofy to make the worst creature in halo slightly OP.

Well, Halo 5 has a grunt mech already.

But what about Caboose and Freckles, Freckles in gun form not giant mantis form.
