Am I the only one who’s not mad at the six-month season?

Yes A six month season isn’t preferable but I don’t think it’s the end of the world. I’m just getting bored of Season 1 and I think that the gamemodes/maps will hold me somewhat for three months until that. Obviously no way to know but I think I should be fine. Worst comes to worst I haven’t hit SR152 yet :man_shrugging:

I’m sorry you need new content pumped into your veins every month and the devs to destroy themselves to be able to enjoy a game. Please go play Fortnite instead.

I’m just kind of accepting that all of my favorite franchises are going down the overly-corporate live service early access crapper and won’t be done for years, if ever. At this rate I’ll probably play more old games and indie games and work on my other hobbies like drawing.

Gaming clearly needs another collapse at this rate.

Its disappointing, i was invested in season 1 for ~3months then the battlepass maxed and the lack of anything got old, if they come through on some decent mid season content drops it might be ok, only time will tell, but i get the feeling ill be back to signing in every couple weeks for a weekly reward that isnt trash and soaking up the event content for like a day every month or 2

The way you play Halo Infinite kinda reminds me of the way that they said they wanted people to play it:

Chris Blohm: There’s one note from Ryan in regard to Seasons that I’d like to jump in on. We want players to have cool content, activities, events, and rewards over the course of the season, but we do not want to demand that players play a ton of hours every week of the season to complete everything. We want players having fun in Halo, not grind it like it’s a job.

A six-month season with events and rotating modes to come back to to keep things fresh is fine with me.

Not mad. Just disappointed.

What I don’t want is a dry spell like the last couple of months. The season needs to be engaging with events and content for it’s full length.

And we’re going to need more than two maps a season.

THANK YOU!!! Play it like it is. A game!!!

Im hoping with a Forge beta at the latter half of the season, we’ll get new developer-made maps and essentially get a ‘mid-season refresh’. Hopefully a new game mode or two with it.

That’s what the game really needs. A mid-season refresh to keep things spicy while still leaving the next season for a major content drop

Games been out for 6 months with minimal and repetitive content.

343Is master plan to save their dieing game is to repeat the process.

Personally I just don’t care anymore.

Personally, I don’t NEED new content but the game does to drive playercount back up. It’s nearly impossible to find ranked matches here in UK if you aren’t playing peak hours. We don’t all live in NA. Without a bump in player count this game is dead for my personal experience.

I think better fracture events would be better. Maybe 2-3 recurring fractures per six month seasons. Also the fact that it sounds like they’ll add rotationals without an event is good.

Well it’s pretty much expected people would be angry with 343 for dropping another 6 month season, since most games do 3 month seasons with content drops every 3 months in order to keep the game thriving with returning players.

It wouldn’t be that much of an issue if CGB and Forge was already out, since those generate content at an insane amount, but the fact we don’t have those + another 6 month season + no real content being teased in the roadmap beyond Forge Beta and Campaign Coop means that MP side is gonna sit on Season 2 launch content for 6 months until further notice.

This is not a great look for 343 and the game, and I feel that they could allocate 1 or 2 guys to slowly develop 2 additional maps over 3 months and release them mid-season to keep the players sated. I mean, it’s 2 whole maps, plus they have Forge. Heck, if they were smart, they would commission Forger(s) to make 2 maps over 3 months ready for mid-season.

I’m hoping that Snowbound/Avalance remake WIP leak is true and it is coming sometime Season 2. It would be a real thirst quencher in the middle of a 6 month long season.

It is what it is. I’m expecting it to be the standard going forward.

Yes, I think you’re the only one. Enjoy living in groundhog day…it’s time for us to pack up and leave and play other games until 343 gets the message. And that hurts to say as a die hard halo fan.

Its not about every month, its about having new content more than twice a year. Twice a year content drops isnt enough to sustain a healthy playerbase. Or even an unhealthy one. I have no earthly clue how 343 expects their game to be active a year after release when they only update it once for every 3 times their competitors drop content.

I’m not mad anymore, 343i have burnt me so many times at this point that I think it’s best to just push Halo to the side and come back to it now and again when it feels like it’s in a more competent state, which will probably be years from now

It’s a shame to see a beloved franchise crumble like this.

I’m a bit sad about it, hope the progression system comes soon, I stopped playing mp as not progressing towards anything, deffo won’t be buying battle pass if gonna be 6 months again.

But at least it’s a realistic roadmap, and I’d much rather know now than just before season 3 was supposed to come out, hopefully next year is alot more consistent
