I loved Pegasus, the style of Orion was extremely cool in my opinion, but I like the idea of more textures. Otherwise I loved the textures.
The textures and lighting on the forge blocks in Pegasus and Orion seemed… Weird to me. They didn’t look like the had any depth of reflection in some places. The textures of the forge map itself weren’t the best but it was a beta and we weren’t supposed to really see them too much.
I doubt you are the only one.
The forge textures were fine. I did not love or hate them. The forge maps were ok too, but I did not like the layout of Orion nor did I like the sun glare.
The Forge textures weren’t completed, though they would work fine since they’re so simple.
They look really good too me.
I liked it- but if that’s all we get in the game it’s bound to get old fast. We absolutely need multiple object textures (rather than just the classic Forerunner gray) and multiple environments to forge on. The absolute worst thing about Forge at the moment is howquickly the maps start looking like eachother and how hard it is to make a truly unique-looking map. Halo 4 started to work on this issue by offering a number of Forge maps at launch, and that’s a good direction, but the textures are still a big issue. If it was up to me I’d include a sub option in every object’s settings:
Texture–> Forerunner, UNSC, ruin, sandstone, Covenant, wood, anything really. 3 textures at launch would be enough, with more added through DLC.
The maps themselves were fine, although they were a bit eye-sores.
I liked it but they have to do so much better, Forge is a world that 343 has to exploit

I agree. It was a beta, after all.
So who knows what Forge will end up looking like upon release.
I remember someone at 343 saying there would be multiple Forge palletes at launch, but I have no idea where that source was.
I liked the maps, everyone complained about the sun glare on Orion but I felt it balanced the map and and positions well, and I love dynamic atmospheric effects, they make things pretty. I also really liked the smooth, clean looking textures/surfaces of the forge pieces. Whereas halo 4 had slightly dull, flat looking forge pieces, halo 5 seems to have perfected what they were initially going for and made the flat dull gray a more clean, pure looking gray. And I also felt both maps played really well save for the dominant top spot that everyone flocked to on Pegasus.

Oh god that sun glare was terrible!
It was a beta for a game a year before release so I enjoyed them
You didn’t have an option for my real vote so I just said I hated everything. The forge textures didn’t bother me, but I hated the maps with a passion.
