Honestly, I just played TSC again last night on Heroic, it was awful. Boring, repetitive, so many red Elites and Jackals, not enough Pistol ammo, and actually scary. I’ve always been frightened by that level, just so eerie, and that Zealot popping up at the end scared the crap out of me, even though I knew it was going to be there. Halo was the same story, just not creepy. I find AOTCR, Two Betrayals, and The Maw to be the good levels. Anybody else agree that Halo and TSC suck or am I just weird?
I love TSC, I think it is my most played level.
The only mission I don’t like is “Halo”.
Well…and “Keyes” because it is too scary O_O
Eh, your opinion. I personally love both levels but it is impossible for something to appeal to everybody.
I don’t like Halo either…
I love Halo! My first Halo level!
The fact that you where scared by an AI from 2001 implies good game design. Just saying.

To Each Their Own
“Halo” is my favorite campaign mission throughout all the Halos. It’s got the most beautiful visuals in the game, has the biggest battles, and uses the most area. On top of that, it is the only mission in the game where you get to choose where you go. There are 3 downed drop pod locations. Each area has 2 entrances. You get to choose exactly which entrance you want to take, and which pods you want to do in whichever order you want.
No other mission let you do that until you got up to ODST.
I don’t necessarily mind repetitive. In essence that’s what a lot of video games, in general, are about. It’s nice to get lost in the worlds, and I love being scared from a video game, movie, whatever.
It gets the heart pumping and that is just awesome!

You = Adrenaline Junkie hahah.
I like it more myself especially with games. It shows it’s more than just a “game”.
And all games are repetitive. It’s part of the formula. There isn’t a single game out there that is completely different as it progresses. You have to have some familiarity as you go on with the story/game.
Like TSC. Hate Halo.

So you somehow managed to skip The Pillar of Autumn? Kewl.
I absolutely love Halo and Silent Cartographer. But I won’t flame you because you have an opinion, also you like AOTCR, which is my favorite level.
Oh, okay, I thought you meant Halo the game, not the level. Meh, everyone’s entitled to there opinion I guess. My favorite level from Halo 1 was “the Maw”, probably because of the warthog run at the end.
