I thought I was the only one who cared about this for console. Everyone says I’m just that the devs said they were working on it.
Drives me nuts
Wait then who’s the Byzantine? Sony? Bethesda?
Bungie i reckon haha
as much as i love halo since the very beginning, i feel this is certainly the end of halo as we knew it. tbh i hope it fails miserably, it might be better to put this game out of its misery and disconnect its servers for good. its doing nothing, and seems to have no direction. id rather have it end now for good, than have them disrespect and destroy halo anymore than they already have.
Even if they all leave, I believe Infinite was designed for 5-10yrs so this game is just getting started! There are sure to be years worth of armor and weapon skins to buy
Even an Activision employee can handle that!
Hmm looks at anthem and how ea said it would last through 7 to 10 year cycles of updates
“Am I the only one who feels like this is the end times for Halo?”
For 343i, maybe…
But it is interesting how they seem to be hiring former Bungie staff now…
Only thing that bombed in 5 was the campaign, plenty stuck around for the MP. It also got updated far faster with far more content being added each update, though.
That, and the overall artstyle. Some people like the multiplayer, others like myself do not. Halo 5 was also the first Halo game to have microtransactions too.
And that’s Infinite’s main problem. 343 is not adding or changing thee game fast enough. It seems that they don’t have enough employees to keep up with the demand of players, and on top o that there are people trying to call Infinite the biggest AAA failure in all of gaming, which is absurd.
LOL, “plenty”, sure bud
To be fair he is correct custom games and infection gave the playerbase a big boost and they stuck around while mcc was busted heck when i hit the cR cap during my reach inheritor grind i went to halo 5 and played infection in the cgb
At least they were good Microtransactions.
You never got duplicates in the REQ system when it came to cosmetics.
Well to be fair, this game had 4 builds made, with the fourth being the design that would go on to become Halo Infinite as we know it. Add on top of that the overhaul that the engine received and the pandemic slowing production; and you have this game that is 1/8 complete when compared to the likes of games that came out a little over a decade prior.
Employees do keep on leaving which is a damn shame as it only amplifies the problems exponentially as there are less people to put in the hours required to fix the issues properly.
As for the servers, I dunno what is going on with that whole ordeal.
But you also got lots of filler content. That was my problem with it.
I mean, War Zone WAS meant to be BTB with expendable pricy weapons soooooooo . . . yeah.
I often like to refer to Warzone as a successor to BTB.
Nah.
Pay to win is bad.
Plus War Zone Firefight was broken thanks to a glitch that never got patched.
“Kill 100 Jackals to proceed to the next round”
*game proceeds to spawn only 97 Jackals, leading to the entire team losing because the arbitrary 5 minute timer ran out and it led to a loss
It’s not Pay-To-Win…
But I don’t want to get into this.
So.
Sure.
Yeah it is pay to win.
You pay for $100 worth of Gold Packs, you get a lotta good guns and vehicles and perk abilities when compared to someone who grinds for that stuff.
The team with the most alternate-power-weapons and modified vehicles wins.
Warzone matchmakes players based on their prevailing REQ arsenal.
You’d also rarely get to use an entire Gold Pack’s worth of REQs in a single game, at most two.
You’d also have to choose to play Warzone with your REQ arsenal. If it doesn’t shape up to other players, it’s kinda your fault for not accumulating enough REQ cards beforehand.
So.
