I view the Commando as an in between weapon. It isn’t supposed to go toe to toe with the BR. It’s supposed to be a long range sidekick. Hence the high bloom, recoil, and scope. Plus the bigger magazine means that it can, in theory, get more kills at one time. The Commando isn’t a great gun in quick play, but is a decent gun in BTB.

Yeah, the Pulse Carbine kinda sucks. It can’t kill on its own, but also can’t strip shields very fast. Combine that with its range for it to start tracking and it becomes a useless weapon to pick up. Why use the Pulse Carbine when you can get more guaranteed kills with the AR?

The Stalker Rifle is another decent gun. This is supposed to go toe to toe with the BR. It has a larger magnification when scoped in, and can get a kill in three headshots. It’s pretty much a baby sniper, which is also its best use. While you can take it into a firefight, hanging back will be more beneficial. Hide behind a rock or tree near a high traffic point and you can rack up kills.

This is an interesting idea, and I’d be in support of it as a “Brute DMR”. The Banished version of the BR. Bring back the Spiker too, and it would be a good weapon combo for an Invasion gametype. Speaking of which, Invasion is probably the best reason to include Banished counterparts of UNSC weapons.

I agree, the drop wall, as you mentioned, is a good example. Another is the threat sensor. It serves little to no purpose in PvP especially with radar. However, in PvE modes (such as campaign, or potentially firefight) it shows much more valuable information. The following are examples: how many enemies, where the enemies are, what the enemies are (hunters, brutes, etc.).
Also, the Drop Wall still needs a buff. It doesn’t work well at all in PvP due to its slow deploy speed and weak walls. I’d say it should work like a one direction overshield.

WE NEED ONE NUKE PER GAME!!! :fireworks:

Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:

That is a concept 343 can’t understand, or at least they haven’t been able to convince me they can for basically the last 10 years.

It sucks, but that’s life I guess

That’s literally just Nuke Town but in Halo… which sounds awesome. Touche

  1. Sbmm giving us matches where we have to carry/be carried

  2. Strict Sbmm making casual not as fun as previous halos

  3. The removal of social features

  4. Being placed onto laggy @$# matches because we can’t prioritize connection speed due to strict sbmm

  5. The stupid challenge system being the only way to get xp

  6. The fact we are almost a year in and we don’t have infection

  7. No playable elites

  8. The fact 343 basically relied on a ton of contract workers to make infinite

  9. The stupid coating system

  10. Showing $h#÷ that has yet to appear (looking at you cqb)

  11. The fact they aren’t making enough money with infinite so they are trying to put microtransactions into mcc

  12. While we’re on mcc where is that official mod support at guys? Didn’t you say you was working with the modders of the fanbase to make it happen because I’ve heard jack $&%÷ after the launch of one tool being released

I tried to defend 343 because i thought they was starting to listen but its clear that the higher ups haven’t

That has been 343’s entire model from the beginning.
Certain Affinity is their most contracted company.

At this point i would rather have them take over

Eh . . . they would still have issues when it comes to staffing.

Plus the track record of Certain Affinity is only nearly perfect.
You know CoD Ghosts?
They made the entire multiplayer of that game and it didn’t exactly do well.
They also made the entirety of the CoD WaW multiplayer too. So it is a bit hit-or-miss.

If there’s one thing I hope happens, is that I hope Splitgate gets REALLY successful just to light a fire under 343. I still stick with Halo simply because it’s Halo, but folks have understandably jumped ship over to Splitgate instead since aside from the portals and aesthetic and lack of vehicles and armor customization (which is forgivable since it’s a smaller team with a comparatively smaller budget) it still manages to be fun AND F2P.

If Splitgate blows up, it could incentivise 343 or the higher ups above them to try and fix things up to compete proper before more of the fanbase bleeds over to what is basically the modern “Halo Killer” except while that term once meant a potential usurper to a gaming giant it now just means a game that can out-Halo Halo.

Competition breeds innovation after all, Mario wouldn’t have to refine and reinvent itself over the years if Sonic didn’t pose such a threat early on.

I wouldn’t call spligate halo killer as they aren’t trying to kill halo in fact the people behind it seem to love halo

I agree wholeheartedly- they adore Halo. 343 merely works on it. If anyone can make 343 and their bosses see that just giving Halo to people straight up can work, it’s them.

And compare that to 343’s track record lol

343’a track record for me is have legit cool and interesting ideas, and then promptly ruin them

One can compare Apples to Oranges, but all agree that Mangos are the best fruit from trees.

Basically I am saying one can be argued to be better than the other quite easily.
But the Mango (Bungie) is the best of the three.

I… have nothing to add to that, mangos rule.

I’m going to keep it real. It’s going to take a lot for 343i to rebuild faith in the franchise and frankly i don’t think they are capable of doing that.

It’s one thing to accidentally make mistakes.

It’s another to blatantly lie and mislead your fan base.

Halo Infinites release shows that people are still genuinely interested in a hybrid Halo expierence but with Frank/Kiki and Bonnie at the helm we will continue to see these things happen because they don’t see us as Fans… they see us as “The Moochers of Reach”

I just don’t see how expecting them to keep their promises is somehow mooching.

“You’re just a complaining entitled fan who wants free stuff”

No, we’re fans, and more importantly for their bottom line, consumers. As people have said ad nauseum, myself included, when 343 brings in new players only to lose most of them the fans are all that’s left.

They keep thinking if they do things just right Halo can be a hit again. That much is true, but they aren’t brave enough to do it the way it’s needed to because they don’t think it will be profitable enough.

Which is laughable considering Bungie’s Halo was the system seller. Xbox is the house Master Chief and Cortana built, and it was all thanks to a group that had one simple mission- make the coolest and more importantly most fun game they could and pack as much content in as the time constraints would allow.

When Bungie made Halo 2 they didn’t have any fancy shmancy 6 years and 500,000,000 dollars. They had sticks! Two sticks and a rock for the whole dev team- and they had to share the rock!
